I agree, I like the pick as well. I think someone else mentioned it, maybe tomahawk

How does the USHL scoring leader last until the 5th round or whatever it was? What are his drawbacks?

You haven't got clue about me .... only assumptions you are making on your interpretation of my words .... be more intelligent and ask me some questions.

First of all, your post is a complete mess. Not formatted properly. Secondly and most importantly, you just used reddit to try and prove your point. I don't need to know anything about you. Based on your posts though, there are only two possibilities. Either it's a ruse and you're trying to pull something over. Or you're a Flyers stepford. A gullible fan buying into all the Flyers rhetoric. If it's the latter, then you're incapable of understanding the basic points I made about skill and talent. The intangibles that you reference couldn't possibly be equal. Either way, I don't see much value in asking you any questions.

Your logic doesn't make any sense. Why would they have to trade Foerster, Tippet and York? How are they further alon than thought? They still have only Michkov as a true potential first liner. Only Tippet is really good enough to be a second liner. Foerster might be something for the 2nd line. TK should just be traded, but we all know that's not happening.

After the draft 4 days ago, we still need a #1 and #2 center, at least 2 top 6 wingers, and a full top pairing on defence. Jett should be penciled in as the third line center. Not a lot of faith in our goalies, and Kolosov may refuse to return to NA.

The Flyers did themselves no favours with their choices this past weekend. They are a complete and utter mess, and when the TK signing is announced, to me it will signify that we are not going anywhere for the next 10 years.

How come everyone but the Flyers management and JD250 can see what needs to be done?

Ooh ooh 🙋🙋🙋 maybe because all the media take what they SAY and not what they do and spin it into a false narrative that gullible fans eat up because they are purposely obtuse to the suck

My bet is most of the Torts naysayers thought Paul Maurice wasn't the correct coach for the Panthers either before the season.....

Team culture generally refers to the shared beliefs, behaviors, working practices, and the values of an organization. ....

My solution would be similar to what I have seen being executed since DB was named GM....currently I think Briere, Jonesy, Torts and Hilferty have a common vision and put a transparent plan in place to accomplish their objectives.

Not having any personal knowledge or ever meeting Hathaway or Johnson, I can only base my opinion on what I have seen with my own eyes or read about them. They are both players that I believe show the consistent effort and sacrifices you would like to see in a young player. There are a couple rookie generational talents that come along that have the in-ate habits of what it takes to be a pro, the majority don't and need to be taught as they are learned behaviors. Past Flyers that were not considered to be high end talent by teams but did things the right way, Lappy, Kapanen, Marsh, etc....
Doing things the right way is one important element that more often than not separates the winners and losers.

Culture.... Locker room leadership

Pronger was named captain after Richie, at the time the Flyers brass didn't like a lot of the players off ice behaviors and didn't want it to affect the younger group. Pronger was an in your face vocal player that demanded accountability. Similar to Torts wanting things done a particular way.

A culture of organizational patience and development is also good.... Bob getting traded was a lesson learned and witnessed by Briere and Jonesy first hand.

So yes I believe their signing is a positive step in establishing or continuing building good team culture!

Their signing is a step showing that this organization will not be contending for the Stanley Cup anytime soon. It is an indication of an incompetent management team.

Keith Jones has zero experience running an NHL team and the only reason he has the job. Is that no serious candidate was interested in the job with the formation of the management team. They had to hire the color analyst to be the teams head cheerleader.

In that case wouldn’t it have been a hoot to have Christopher Walken as Prez? The press conferences would be awesome.

The problem with MJL is that he says we can’t question him for being negative or “steeped in reality” as he puts it but then resorts to personal attacks because a guy is watching his favorite team optimistically.

Pronger also did not want Richie to lift the Wales Trophy. Richie lifted it, and mugged for the cameras, and Carter smacked him in the butt and giggled, while Pronger sulked a few feet behind them.

So much for setting the standards of culture, eh?

- PT21

Richards and Carter were talented but immature and needed to be traded to wake up. Richards went south pretty fast and Carter did have a good career afterwards. It was a shame that Pronger had the career ending eye injury and the coach Peter L. was a horrible goalie manager.
Oh well it’s water under the bridge now.

Neither Carter or Richards had immaturity issues as Flyers. That's nonsense and not supported by the facts.

I love it! Now you are correcting people on their format! Pure comedy! If we all could be as perfect and infallible as you, the world would be a better place. Please, for your own health, join the Sabres forum. They would appreciate your insight plus they really know how to run a hockey team.

I noticed a grammatical error in your second paragraph. You put a period after "job" then continued with a new sentence. That is improper grammar and formatting. Please check your punctuation. You also need new material - you've used "head cheerleader" more than enough in the past year. Please tell us how Torts is archaic next to fulfill your quota.

The only thing that is comical is you, as you display daily how you cannot partake in a serious hockey comversation because you are the least qualified in the room to have one. That is a fact. How many arguments have you had already today? People are laughing at you, but apparently you could care less.

What I said here is what I have been consistently saying for years, the best way to get elite talent is to pick high in the draft, and to assure your high picks happen at the right draft. Nothing controversial here, except in your pea brain.

You continue to make a fool of yourself. If you look at the post, his comments are mixed into the quoted part, rather than below in his comments. Due to not formatting the post properly using the quote feature. Making it look like many of his comments, were made by me. A 3rd party reading the post, would know who said what. Keep on being you though.

By all accounts, Richard’s was a huge a$$hole. Some of the sh!t he pulled with Lavi behind the scenes is just plain disrespectful and unprofessional. Was happier than a pig in sh!t when he got traded

Sad indeed. I wish I had 1/4 of the time he spends on here complaining about his favorite team. I honestly don't know how he does it. It must be exhausting being right all the time and obsessing over everything the Flyers do. I'd find a new team.
