Briere already guaranteed he won't go to the AHL. Which is funny, because he apparently wasn't able to do that with Gauthier in March 2023 even though the Flyers forward corps at the time was very thin.

Briere somehow couldn't find room on the roster for Gauthier even though guys like Hayes, JvR, Allison, Lemieux, Laczynski and Deslauriers were racking up major minutes.

I was told on Flyers facebook comments yesterday by multiple Flyers fans that Michkov is going to be better than Bedard. Such a large portion of this fanbase is completely clueless. It’s no wonder the front office gets away with its constant bs.

Jd isn’t lol. Ana did exactly the opposite of philly. Continued to draft high end talent at d position and flipped one for a stud winger. Because they had so many. Unlike Philly who passes on top end talent possibly because they already have too many same type. So laughable because not only is that stupid but jd/york/andre aren’t better.

I wonder if they even tried to make a trade with someone in the 13-18 range to get an extra pick. Take the d at 12 then trade the florida and col 1dt to get jett. doesn't seem to complicated to me. Then again maybe they just didnt like the dman. Which would speak volumes.

Traded Walker knowing that would prob cost them the playoffs which it did. Traded Provy the offseason before for what now looks like a kings ransom. I get these two deals are linked, but they only received long term assets for these players thus the reason why they have 6 picks most likely in the top 40 next year. 6 picks in the top 40. A year that is supposed to be an outstanding draft year. They knowingly took on bad contracts for draft capital eliminating the possibility to sign vets in free agency. I hate to burst ur agenda bubble, but this is indeed a rebuild. Your vs of a rebuild may mean finishing in the bottom 3 of the league which is fair, but the flyers simply have too much young talent to do that right now. Thats just reality. That actually means that the rebuild might just be further along than you think and thats ok. They think Johnson will help the young guys. I get why they signed him. In general, I have no problem with Hathaway after what I saw last season.

Their job right now is to support Michcov. Sorry, but with him they will prob finish on the playoff bubble again. If you dont want that than you must trade Foester, Tipp n York. Is that something you want to do?

The flyers have some young talent but not a list young talent. Signing EJ was not needed and a waste of cap space. I don’t have a problem with the thought of signing GH but I don’t like the cap hit.
ND needs to go somewhere other than the flyers lineup.
If Couturier doesn’t have a good season the flyers are going to be bad. I expect him to miss games this year.
If Ersson is not a goalie that can handle a fairly heavy workload without his play dropping then the flyers may get their top 5 pick.

I’m not sure I understand the Hathaway deal.

First, can we not develop fourth line guys in our system? Second, that price, a year early, and his age just doesn’t seem prudent. As I have had to say too many times with this team, this isn’t the biggest issue, but all of these little issues can have trickle down effects on larger decisions. I just don’t see the rush nor prudence on this move

The teams are the same, the only difference is that Chicago tanked to get a top 3 pick player while the Flyers lucked into getting a top 3 pick player

At the end of the day the mistake was trading him when they had the 100% control. Cutter or no top 5 prospect nowadays is gonna sit in college for 4 years not burning elc
