SO, Lundell just signed for 6x$5m.....impact on Rayzor's negotiations?
- mcmastermike1968

Don’t think so.

Slaf got 8 x 7.6m
Caufield got 8 x 7.85m
Cozens got 7 x 7.1m
Stutzle got 8 x 8.35m

I think those are the comparables

Yes I'm aware. I'm 25% Russian. But it's been translated as Fedorov, yet people repeatedly use Federov. Not singling anyone out here. I see Federov everywhere. This isn't that complicated.

I mean, I agree that it's not that hard and it's a pet peeve of mine too. Just busting your chops.

Raymond is significantly better than Lundell at this stage and probably will remain that way.

I know they got lumped together a lot because they were drafted the same year, Central Scouting somehow had Lundell rated ahead of Raymond, and we've had one or two posters moaning over the years about how Lundell would have been the better pick, because he's a center or whatever.

But honestly, fours years in post draft, they're very different players. Raymond is already a legit first liner and might still have some star potential. Lundell is meh defensive middle-six center and PK specialist who is one of the least efficient point producers for forwards who played as many or more minutes as he did.

Don't get me wrong, I think Lundell is a decent, responsible young player with untapped potential and I expect him to grow into his deal nicely, but he is not a comp for Raymond.

Theirs, not mine. I've got ZERO issues with you....rather think you, Feds, HB...y'all bring some concise points, some frustration (which SHOULD drive people to THINK about the position being posited as well as research your assertions!!!), but I enjoy reading your & those 2 "other guys".

Fair enough..... as I've said, I've been a fan since sometime in the mid 80's.... am I a spoiled Red Wings fan, yes I am... do I hold the organization to a higher standard than any other team I follow?... yes I do... do I get frustrated at the state if the team, the league and the hierarchy above the league... yes I do.... that said I have a lot of passion as evidenced on the walls in my mancave and the Wings logo tattooed on my arm.... aside from that, I'd be good with Datsyuk being raised to the rafters as well... my father is 93 years old, resides on a memory floor in a nursing home suffering from lewy body dementia and parkinsons.... his memory is awful... however the man talks about Pavel Datsyuk often when he watches hockey...always comparing today's players and claiming Pav would school them all, which brings me a smile.... Id love to sit with him and watch 13 raised to see my father's excitement..... that's all, have a great day

I cannot begin to imagine the pain you're going through. I wish you and your Family lasting memories of laughter, joy, and life-lessons that have helped shape who you are today (again, I really enjoy your wit and posts...). Not even going to fake like I can relate, my friend.....no one can.

Pav, Pasha, Datsyuk, The Magic Man....call him what you will; he left an indelible mark on HockeyTown and the NHL...ALL day long.

Thank you so much... and yes. Pavel Datsyuk, in my mind, was other worldly... not only because I thoroughly enjoyed watching him play... but his play transcends hockey, again my opinion, because a sports fan such as my dad saw something incredible in Pav and that shows how sports and athletes can leave a legacy.... Bob Gibson and Pavel Datsyuk, my dad's 2 favorite athletes.... crazy

Honestly, I expected Lundell to be better, but I didn't expect the turn-around in Rayzor's game like we saw this season. Agree with you (and those whom I listen to; he's going to be dazzling for sure). Rayzor's got the tools to be a legit name in the NHL.....It's going to be interesting to see what he gets, I expect it to be significant but less than Mo although not sure by how much (in length or cost....).

Praying there’s at least a hall of fame night you guys can share. Incredibly cool that Pav is something you can still bond over.
