Domi was a decent deal yes.

Points isn't all that some players contribute to a team. If you can get solid FO wins, penalty killing, a big body who throws some weight around, the price tag isn't only about points. I'm sure the Leafs could sign only point producers and continue losing games 6-5 when it matters the most.

I assume you've watched American Murder: The Family Next Door? Loved it.

At the moment, they do. That's what the going rate is. And there aren't any more qualified UFAs left to sign for cheaper.

He has played 9 NHL seasons and scored 10-17 goals in 5 of those seasons (two of them weren't full seasons by the way) while averaging 11 goals per 82 games. That's pretty regularly.
