I do understand that lon, and have stated I have no problem with McLeod. Just bad Asset management in my opinion, he could have helped last year if they were low on him. Colton was traded for a 2nd - Buff36

30 pt.
Yet, Helenius at 14 is a good pick, who projects in as a 3C ...maybe tweener to middle 6. Is 5 spots in the middle a huge difference? Idk.
Was thinking that McLeod - Helenius - Rosen could be a deadly shutdown L3 with intense puck pressure, each who could play up as necessary.
The more I think about this, the more I like it going forward. - IonSabres
I think that this is an aspect of Adams moves that we haven't talked about: he hasn't brought in anyone that he can't move off of in the event they aren't good or the kids push them out.

That probably explains the difference between what a 2nd gets you and a former #9 overall prospect gets you. I suspect the bigger point is that - had the plan not been to slow-play the build - we could have shopped when the prices were lower (to which there is surely some merit).

Okposo and Girgs were blowing each other for being such great leaders |

21, 23, 30 points the last 3 years, so I'm just averaging.
That's an interesting third line. I'm almost expecting Wahlberg to pass Rosen in the organization, at this point.

Moral of the story also is …..
- If a prospect has been baking too long in juniors at 20 years old
- gets hurt on a yearly basis in September
- doesn’t make his world junior teams
And so on
If you have red flags on a very bumpy 2 years of development.
Your value goes down. Simple as that |

Sources with direct knowledge confirmed that Sabres defenseman Henri Jokiharju will be an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2025, not 2026. |

Is it possible that - given his size and skating - that he may have also caught up with Kulich and Ostlund?

Walberg would be the #3 on my prospect list NOT TO Trade; #1 Levi, #2 Helenius |

Kulich's two years in Roch are going to be tough to pass.
Ostlund was the better SHL player last year, but maybe his game will translate better on the smaller rink.

Guess I missed that episode. Just going on my own research and arb knowledge.
There aren't many RFA goalies signed in the expected range. Oettinger at 4m. Swayman at 3.45m. Those are both significantly better goalies. Gustavsson at 3.75, but buys UFA years.
I don't think he has a real case over 4m, which I imagine would be disappointing to him. - Lunaion
Probably right to him it may very well be.
You and I have been on the same page of 1 x $3.25m for quite some time now. |

I really hope they aren't selling at the deadline. Assume he's another guy walking away for nothing.

How sure are we Savoie was worth more than a 2nd? I think he should be, but how sure can we be?
Ross was also traded for and signed by Avalanche. Maybe he would not sign here? |

Buyers and sellers...although, RD depth is huge for a PO run...so maybe they just hold him and he does walk for free.
Idk. |

I kind of want to trade for Vatrano. Should cost less due to age and being a UFA next year. Let's Kulich simmer in the AHL another year and take his spot in top 6 (hopefully)
What's his cost? Greenway and a lottery protected 1st? He's 30, I can't imagine he's getting a haul. |
