Again you are a Idiot! You call me out when you thought bringing back all the scrubs didn't matter. A guy that said we can't use Savoie in Chicken Man deal but know it's alright on a 3C. A guy that calls out UPL, but if not for him we would have been sniffing top 5 pick cause of all those great 1 year signings. Go back to studying whatever analytics sheets you look at because your Hockey takes suck.

Your generation ruined the country before mine even had a chance. Enough with the gaslighting. It’s hard to get on your feet when an entire generation of men have had their foot on your neck before the doctor could even cut the cord and snip your d¡ck.

You are the very definition of a loser...completely lost, blame everyone else for their inability to cope.
Newsflash there Loser: plenty of people from disadvantaged backgrounds "make" in this country. It's called the American Dream. But you choose to alienate everyone you come into contact with, and in return they are happy to see you flounder from meaningless job to meaningless job and laugh at your self-imposed prison of being a Loser.
Move to Mexico, Honduras, Panama, Cuba, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia and the like. I'm sure you'll enjoy it there. Stay away from Canada...they will laugh at you there too.

The problem is, especially nowadays, A) the "expert" analysts all want to be the first with their opinions and knee-jerk reactions and, B) the cool thing to do is bash the Buffalo Sabres. Gotta hang with the cool kids!
- Powerslave

What is the problem with giving an initial analysis on a trade or free agent signing?

If the analysis is the Edmonton side of the trade is preferred, or much preferred, that is the opinion of the person who is sharing their analysis.

Does it come down to you don't like reading when someone doesn't like a move that the Sabres made?

Do you only want to read rah rah Buffalo opinions?

Hard to determine savoies worth after 3:55 of nhl experience wouldn’t you say?

Guys been injured frequently and apparently has problems off the ice as well

I guess that’s boring

- Boss34

It's not that difficult:

Number 9 overall pick, before the pick was made = High value

After Savoie is picked = Slightly diminished value, due to teams not being able to pick the player they liked

D+1 season for Savoie with same production as he draft year = Further diminished value

D+2 camp injury to shoulder which makes two shoulder injuries means more questions on size and NHL durability = More diminished value

D+2 season top production with a playoffs that was not dominant, compared to a 2nd round pick on his team that performed the same = Further diminished value

The above is quite common for 1st round picks.

Contrary to some belief, the value does not go up, or even hold. It usually goes down over time, unless the player makes the NHL quickly and begins performing well in the NHL.

The fact you get this mad about you being wrong about the way the Sabres are being built and then calling me an “idiot.”

You have some anger issues and need to seek help. I’m not even being mean or rude about it.

Take some self help classes or something. I can send you some links

Very good post

I think you maybe overlooking ruff’s influence on this trade. Of course he wanted a true nhl center with speed and plays good defense .

Gotta give to get, and I liked the idea of Savoie zipping around the ice. Lindy doesn’t like that type of guy , as you can see with the skinner buyout.

I worried about bensons size, speed and defense.
He’s gonna be Lindy’s whipping boy at times.

When is the last move the Sabres made that you did not like, not counting Zemgus fleeing Buffalo for sunny Florida?

The fact that you get so mad about being wrong about the direction of the nhl and the Sabres is hilarious.

Then you call me stupid or an idiot.

I think you need anger issues or need to seek help. We are on an online message board and you get this angry. I can’t imagine you in real life

Nothing he can do about last off season now though. He knows he screwed them big time and is working to fix a lot of holes.

I will say this, if he gets a top 6 forward (not Zucker) he gets a B+ this offseason. Right not its like a C, C-.

I would have liked something done on the blue line and a better backup to UPL (I want Levi in Rochester) and then it would have been an A+

Adams knew it very early last season, as soon as training camp, that they were in trouble, and he didn't do a (frank)ing thing about it.

The previous year we also started off slow. I’m guessing Adams thought as the season went along they would get better and better.

But it never happened.

What ? angry about the way there being built. Funny because I have been saying for years to get tougher to play against, in your face Hockey, puck pressure, use your speed to your advantage. Funny 4 years after I said it there finally starting to do it.
You come here calling me out and being alright with what the Sabres have done over the last couple years. Oh there only 1 year Deals, oh Eric Johnson was brought in to lead the Dcore. Girgensons and Okposo don't matter there only 1 year deals. Go back to Mommies basement cause your not ready to play with the Big Boy's

Yes, the 1 year deals don’t matter

I don’t see Okpsos, Erik Johnson, Jost, or anyone like that on this years roster. Those players are gone.

Hence no long term cap issues from those contracts.

You could’ve paid Okposo last year 1 year 10 mill and it wouldn’t have mattered.

The cap hit is off the books for this year.

This, completely. The criticism about Adams in this whole area is a moving target. Is a second a lot for the player? Yeah, probably too much. But the other side of it is that he created the asset (probably for this express purpose) and probably still got the guy he wanted in the first round (or was comfortable with a few players).

Yes, it was a 2nd round pick - that is what trips people up. But because the cupboard is full, he wouldn't do that for the purpose of getting more assets because we can only sign so many of them to contracts. He did it with this trade in mind. That is some excellent work there.

- Slump Buster

Some teams trade 2nd round picks for players like Malenstyn or Jeannot.

Other teams trade 2nd round picks for players like John Marino or Mangiapane.

Sure would be nice someday for the Sabres to be a team like that second group.

Says the guy that wants Ryan Reeves and Milain lucic.

My point was that cap ramifications wise. It doesn’t hurt.

On paper. Adams ran it back because we missed playoffs by 1 point.

You knew that Tuch tage and cozens were all going to suck relative to their point totals from the previous year?

You also knew that the PP was going to sink like the titanic?

You also knew that Granato was going to absolutely suck as a coach?

Dang dude. Mine as well sign you up as gm. Since you had a crystal ball and knew ahead of time

I agree Granato was absolutely terrible. I called for him to get fired in late October into. November.
