Bought a new generator like 3 weeks ago so I've got the fridge running. Looks like we're getting another round here in about 20 mins - Hank Balling
Getting dark here right know, Camp Rd was flooded about a Hour ago in certain points |

The Sabres 4th line is a bunch of fast skating grinders that can also kill penalties. Sabres need that.
How often would we dump the puck in and never retrieve it. The other team would have an easy break and get the puck out.
I still think the key to the offseason is that top 6 forward. Like I mentioned before. It balances everything out - Sabretooth9
Yeah, I think we can switch that to middle6 really. You gotta hope one of these prospects can push up the lineup eventually and it's really 2nd or 3rd line wing we're needing to balance.
I hated the dump and chase log line. The issue will be if we can hold onto it once we retrieve. Not a lot of hands there. |

Think they can get it done for Krebs or Greenway and a 2nd rounder? Sounds too inexpensive to let go of a 50pt guy, but never know. - QuinnFan
Maybe, deal I heard before was Farabee and Cates. But that's obviously changed. Like Boss said maybe that's why R. Johnson is involved at this point instead of Samuelsson |

Don't know if they'd find Greenway or a 2nd all that enticing. There's a chance they really like one of their B chips, like Neuchev or Strbak.

NHL gms are still very old school. They will think greenway brings size and grit to their lineup.
But the dude can’t skate or play with speed or pace. |

Yeah, with no top 6 forward added. You really need Kulich, Ostlund, or Benson to really be very good. At minimum, 50 points. Since that is low end top 6 point totals.
That’s a lot of pressure for a rookie |

If I were you, I'd be more concerned how I look while saying the same thing every single day, multiple times a day, over and over again literally since April last year till this moment. Redundant, repetitive, boring...and you even try taking victory laps along with washedup for being soooo on-point that Adams shoulda done more last year. Give it a freaking rest, pal, we ALL were saying the same thing...the rest of us simply said it once or twice then stopped because we know how dumb it would make us look.
An insider said last year on this board April that there would be no significant changes last year, but you guys went on and on, polluting the pages with the same points, pining (look it up) for Adams to do this, do that, the other thing but you really shoulda saved all that awesome hockey insight for somewhere else ffs.
I'd pop in every few months last year to point out how ridiculously redundant you are and washedup would inevitably give me the Meme Treatment (granted, a lot of those are funny) but you'd just double down saying the same points, and never noticed I was mocking you for your repetitiveness, not your takes.

You think Briere is an old school GM?
Greenway in his final year isn't worth much of anything.

Could be. Gotta think they plan on him replacing Joker in a year, and much needed depth this season.

I didn’t say briere. I said “nhl gms”
A majority of them are old school. Adams is one of them |

A bottom pairing d isn’t that had to replace.
Check out what the panthers did this summer or even during the season |

They played with good pace - Sabretooth9
So are they fast or not? I recall Edmonton being slow until they forced game 7
Where is the landlord to put a stop to this tired and repeated take you have |

Playing with good pace requires you to have a fast good skating team.
It also helps if you can pass and move the puck. The Sabres passing was horrible last year. Trying to watch them break the puck out was truly special
The Sabres had slow players like Okposo, skinner, greenway that naturally are just slow
Then add it the terrible passing.
The Sabres stunk.
The Carolina hurricanes are the team I wouldn’t mind the Sabres emulate. |

How is adams old school?
Wasn't it granato who banged the table for Greenway?
Now adams signed a bunch of plugs who can skate and traded for one of the fastest players in the nhl but its ruffs roster now? Who is in school still and who isn't im confused |

Playing fast and being fast are not the same thing but you keep on about speed and skill when really it was Florida's relentless pressure and ability to grind teams to a pulp that won it for them
Agreed on the passing. The puck is faster than every player |

Erik Johnson for veteran leadership plug
Erik Johnson who sucked the prior year with the Avs was brought in and somehow thought was an upgrade to help Dahlin.
That is a load of garbage for: I stink at hockey but want to keep playing.
Adams also doesn’t really lean on the analytics side of things when he has an excellent analytical group.
Greenway and Clifton were granato guys. |

Did you watch Kyle Okposo with the panthers? He was completely out of place and looked lost due to being so slow.
So you still need to be fast in order to play with speed and pace.
Reinhart people still think is slow. I don’t think people realize how much better of a skater he is vs when he was in Buffalo. He plays a lot faster and with more speed. |

So did adams become new school this offseason or are we all just going to believe that ruff is the GM now |

If you can get the best guy in a trade you get the best guy in the trade. This would work well for the Sabres. Not sure PHI would want Greenway, maybe a 2ndary prospect? |

Danny did trade for and resigned Erik Johnson to be a “veteran leader.”
I would say that’s old school |

Seeing okposo out there on the panthers was eye opening. He looked slow on the Sabres but he’s down right stationary on the panthers
