I said I am starting to believe that NO TRADES will happen this off season and this will moist likely be the lineup. You are just proving Anti-Lame's point. - jd250
I know what you said. It shows how easily you're manipulated. A podcast could come up with rumors of a Flyers deal and you'll be believing that. It's the same thing every day with you. Yesterday it was the Jones thing and showing your complete inability to decipher what was said. Again today you posted that the Flyers are the only team that can give Konecny 8 years as a reason why he should only get 7 from the Flyers. Even though you've been corrected on that, numerous times. What will it be tomorrow? You show a complete inability to learn. No matter how many times something is explained to you. Anti-lame can't help you. He can't help himself. |

I'm not worried so much about the time line because I think TK will be really good for at least 5 more seasons, barring injury of course. My concern is about the money. If Michkov develops like we hope, he will be the 1st line RW, moving TK to a 2nd line RW. Also TK is just not at the level of those players that you give a $70M+ contract to, he is a notch below that. The Flyers should extend him fairly, but not go over the top. - jd250
Agreed, as I said in another post. Flyers need to put a line in the sand. If TK's camp is doing the same I would hope DB starts making calls. Rather it come quicker than waiting at the TDL.

tk has never been really good. He has been a good solid nhl player. just amazes me he even wants to stay here; though maybe only if they meet his price.
Even then a million less in a winning environment trumps what the flyers have to offer in the future. |

if the gm goes into the season, seeing where the flyers are at currently, without a TK ext then the GM is a total fool. |

As Bundy reported, that you don't listen to, TK's camp is playing hardball with the Flyers, just as they did for his first contract. They believe he should be a $10M player. - jd250
I don't need Bundy to tell me that. It's pretty obvious. Using Bundy as a source is not wise. I don't believe that the Konecny camp is asking for 10M. That would be completely unreasonable and they know that. |

People are comparing what Reinhart got to what maybe what TK should get.
If you look at Reinharts first 8 years compared to TKs, TK has the better numbers.
So TK may want more money.

His agent will say he deserves it and will get it elsewhere. So it's either buck and pay him or trade him. |

I guess when flyers rebuild on the fly is "finished." They have a team that can win Stanley Cups. 🥤 Torts will be in his 70s and Travis 5 years in his 8 year contract. 🥳 |

Posted it awhile ago and too lazy to find it. But it was the usual, goals, assists and points. Tk wasn't much better just slightly.
Tk will also not take a team friendly discount. Reinhart did it to help keep the SC winning team together. |

No, he's not and they know that. The difference between the two sides is not likely that far apart. If the Flyers are playing hardball. Good for them. Though of course I want a trade, not a re-sign.

The last 3 years Reinhardt has had seasons of 82, 67 and 94 points…including 57 goals this year….Konecny 52, 61 and 68 this year…he had a career high 33 goals this year….at this point in their career…I would think Reinhardt deserves more money. |

He’s not going to say he wants out with a year left on his contract. He’s been here long enough to know what a poop show that will cause.
I think he’s leaving one way or another tho. I think the Flyers would’ve given him a sweetheart deal already if he was willing to take it. They extend guys they want to stay around early. Not at the 11th hour.
It is going to hurt his asking price though if he quickly slots behind Michkov this season. If that happens I wouldn’t be surprised if he quietly asks for a trade. He’s not gonna put up solid numbers with Laughton, who he’s most likely gonna end up with after Coots inevitably gets injured. |

It's no where near the 11th hour though. He just became eligible to be re-signed 8 days ago.

there is plenty of time to make a deal yet. if I am not mistaken, and correct me if I am misremembering, but didn't TK's last contract come down to the final hour? I sort of remember it taking forever for them to get that deal done.

Maybe Bundy is running this rumor out there so that when the Flyers get fleeced on a TK trade they can make it seem like they had to move him for whatever they could get because he made it impossible for them to get fair value. |

God let’s hope so. I’d rather lose him for absolutely nothing than extend him. He doesn’t owe the flyers anything |

If that’s the case, get the best possible deal from a team willing to give him 10m and walk away with whatever prospects, players and/or draft picks. |

There are three outcomes.
1. They trade him for the best return available. Whatever that turns out to be.
2. They let him go for nothing in FA and have the cap space.
3. They sign him to a long term big money deal.
1 is preferable to 2. 1 and 2 are preferable to 3.

unless my math is wrong Sam has better numbers.
I wouldn't take a discount either if I was tk. |
