Oh and I nearly forgot - Can't win with 4 players taking up that much of the cap, deck chairs endlessly being moved, run it back blah blah blah.

There - the wind has been removed from sails of the SS Misery - you stay at port for now MOFO.

The comments in the main blog from some Oilers fans are entertaining, stating that it's a fact that both Mc Jesus and Dry Saddle have already agreed to re-up and the cost is determined and reasonable as well and this is all media poop.

The comments have a "I'm scared and so if I say the crazy thing enough times out loud it will happen, despite me having absolutely no actual facts or inside info on this topic" to it, which in itself has a vibe to it that feels very familiar but I just can't put my finger on why.............lol

The timing is somewhat interesting with Marner coming up end of next year - some will say Dry Saddle is more valuable / worth more than MM.

One here will disagree with that exceptionally strongly via his alt accounts until his ban is lifted I'm sure. lol

The guy has 5 100 plus seasons and 108 playoff points in 74 games.

You had me until the bolded part, Matthews as a 2-way centre who just potted 69 goals is far more valuable than him IMO. Dry Saddle is a great winger and I hope he milks those Oilers for every penny or says "fak this place I'm going somewhere nicer" and goes to a new team (in the West) in free agency.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Matthews isn't amazing. He is.

But the playoffs performances of Draisaitl + his steady 40 goals, 100 points production in the regular season makes him at the very least as valuable as Matthews.

Drysaddle is a center who's scored 50 plus goals on three occasions....and more importantly has carried his team several times in the playoffs.
Matthews is great, one of the best players the leafs have ever had.
Drysaddle is a beast on most nights
