When did this conversation switch to who wins the Maurice Richard Trophy?!?
- Scabeh

Your a Habs fan, aside from the fact Richard was a Hab you have no standing in any conversation about a player winning the Maurice Richard trophy since.....well....never since the trophy was gifted to the league! Whoa!

What's Kessel doing these days? Did he officially retire? I bet he would sign cheap.

This locker room could use more Kessel.

You mean Iron man streak holder, 3 x cup champion Phil "The Thrill" Kessel?! Every locker room can use a guy like that

On a side note, I don't think he'd ever come back to Toronto purely out of spite for the media

True.... maybe Caufield will be in the mix one day who knows.

Doesn't matter, that's not the trophy we want anyway. Auston can keep it. He's a regular season goal scoring machine after all.

Both.

The Caps won a bidding war. Apparently there were a bunch of (yes "bunch of") teams vying to buy it.

That is so insane to me.

Again - I have a billion dollar product and I have no financial investment analysis tool? You could literally consign a small group to come in and build you an integrated system that manages cap, collects data from the NHL public registry, integrates with your scouting and builds comparison data tailored to your specific needs for less than what I presume Capfriendly went for (which I'm guessing is certainly more than a million).

It's just data. This isn't hard stuff to do.

It's so stupid. They asked Tulsky about it and he said the Canes have people who do this internally. They keep track themselves. As he said Capfriendly was great if you wanted to find out who is a pending UFA this year, but it won't tell you who is a pending UFA that your pro scouts have rated as a B+ in skating or a C shot, etc.
