I love a good conspiracy theory as much as the next sasquatch, but what exactly is/ can the NHL head office do to reduce body checks?
- Atomic Wedgie

Maybe they could use horse dewormer. There's no evidence it would reduce body checks, but that's because they don't want us to know.

They already did it - call charges and elbowing for hits that are big and occasionally end up hurting a guy. They set directives to refs to call specific things that discourage on ice play. Like refs hanging out 10mins to rough players for chirping and face washing so things don’t get out of hand.

Where’s his actual broken down points?

Average size these days isn’t very big, 6’-1” @ 199lbs

Panthers: 6’-2” @ 201lbs

And that’s average, meaning there is someone smaller for each player they have who’s bigger. Players aren’t as big as they used to be.

- Dozzer

I think I'll go with Ray on this one. He's only at ice level through the playoffs every year.

Sure there are one offs.
But most cup winners have big D that can pound.

two guys at 6'4
one a 6'2. Although with OEL, not known as a hitter

lol okay okay… I’m just thinking size is being seen as a bit over important by some.

Anyways off to the grocery store… just bbq’d up 6 beauty pork chops and my gf wants to make up a wrap… and guess who just learned we were out of tzatziki sauce? Sigh… she’s lucky that she looks way too hot for me lol

What's her go to recipe?

Mine is just garlic, diced cucumber squozen of juices, EVO, salt, pepper, balkan yogurt. Mint or Dill if I'm feeling fancy

I dont know off the top of my head, but its similar I would think. But its lots of garlic and instead of diced cucumbers they are zested. I know that part cause I had to zest the damn things

Physical play is dwindling. They’re trying to make the game something that gains more attention in the states. Gritty, dirty, physical play isn’t the way to do it.
- Dozzer

I don't think physical play is dwindling, it's just changing form. Defense plays tighter gaps, there's more backchecking, everybody is FAST and there's way less separation physically on the ice than there used to be.

The result is a lot more grinding, a lot fewer big booming hits.

Reach is more important than just being physically larger than somebody else. Reach is king.

Your opinion is not a fact. And you always get agreement from your clone (fifty) and the guy who comes here to talk “puck”. I don’t need to say any more about him.
