If Rempe was really dedicated he’d be getting hand transplant surgery so he doesn’t suck at hockey.

Matt Rempe has Adam Oates as a skills coach, Gary Robert’s as a personal trainer and BLG as a fighting coach. Why can’t Pit draft players with this amount of dedication at making an NHL career?

Phil Kessel used to work out with Gary Roberts. Damn what a gritty, character guy he was.

We're about to get a ton more dumb posts about how trading our late 30s stars would be able to kick off our rebuild, aren't we? A little late for that.

Better late than never You will get nothing when they retire If that is attractive to you...........you are not the answer to the problem but more of the problem

To further what I said, most of the prospects came out before practice just to watch Sid skate. And even when most of them left, one player stayed until the end: Brayden Yager. Keeping Sid around will pay some dividends

Sorry that is JUST DUMB SID does not rub off on others I wish he did but that is just fantasy Sure he has a lot of respect but that does not rub off either Respect is earned not given away for free Wake up

What does "best at his age" have to do with it? Mario Lemieux is probably the best player at his age but not sure there's much demand for his services.

But yes, he would command a staggering return. RANDOM CAPS BIDEN FAT WALLET SYNDROME

I don’t think Robert’s teaches grit, but Rempe gaining a step and some weight will be fun to watch. Going to light some boys up this year.

Well he certainly did turn that series around versus Florida with his 6 minute ATOI. A real game changing type of player.

Is this your new ignorance now? hahha...that NHL players dont have a high amount of dedication for making an NHL career unless they're a player type you like and they seek training from coaches you respect?....there's been numerous Pens and other players go to Roberts over the years, man haha.

Dude is scratched on the regular because he is an absolute detriment to his team winning when on the ice....averaged 5 mins of ice time per game in regular season and 6 in playoffs, being scratched 5 out of 16 of their playoff games...the most important time of the year.

I'd show you the details of how he was around the worst 5 to 10 of any playoff player that played at least 60 mins these playoffs in advanced metrics but thats a waste of energy with you.

B-b-b-but...he hits people.

The issue I see is that even NHL 4th liners usually dominate at lower levels just because their talent level is far and above what they play against in the CHL or NCAA. Rempe actually had a decent draft year but, if anything, seemed to regress as time went on. He's just not an NHL-caliber player from a talent standpoint, and what he brings in 5-6 minutes of sheltered ice time isn't going to move the team's needle.

Now, if there's an issue that needs to be resolved and they feel that he should be called to resolve the issue, then sure they can be like the Islanders and dress a team full of goons to sucker punch people and have an enforcer fight a goalie to prove...something.

I actually hope the Rangers do dress him on a regular basis and increase his ATOI because I absolutely despise that team.

Every credible report has consistently said Sid wants to stay, hence this discussion is moot.

Indeed hockey is a business, and it was FSG who dictated to Hex that they keep the core together -- to sell tickets. The Pens like all teams lost money during the pandemic years, and FSG wanted to get back into the black and saw keeping Sid around as the best way to do that. It has worked so far, they made a profit last year even without making the playoffs.

Keep in mind that rebuilds can be slow and can fail to land any superstars, resulting in a mediocre unexciting team that doesn't generate enough revenue. From a business perspective, they are risky, hence it's not surprising that FSG would choose this path.

Your posts are getting worse and worse, completely void of any kind of thinking, let alone critical. You think trading Sid is whats best for business for FSG? and you have the audacity to be calling people dumb as doorknobs?

Delete your f'n account and go yell at the clouds.

No, you make good business decision by trading aging stars to kick-start rebuilds.

Pens were in a great financial position while rebuilding in the early 2000s. People really loved spending money they didn't have to see budding young superstars like Milan Kraft and Rico Fata.

Well, at least I got you to stop acting like they'd get a KING'S RANSOM. I'll take that as a win. If you don't see in any value in Sid as a lockerroom leader whose good habits young players are likely to pick up because they idolized them I can't help you.

Only thing we seem to agree on is it's Sid's choice. If he wants to move, I'll take what we can get, but it won't be that much because he'd still have control over where he goes. Even moreso for Letang, Malkin, and EK.

As long as you use age as a qualifier, it doesn't matter. BECAUSE of his age, he won't command as great of a return because he's a threat to decline at any time.

It’s so funny how negative you guys can be about a young hockey player making the most out of his NHL opportunity. No if given the same opportunity most kids coming into the NHL would not fight Matt Martin his first shift ever. And it’s not like 6’7” is even an advantage when you weigh 180. I hope he gets minutes, hits(clean, dirty, late don’t care) and fights and media coverage all season. It’s great for the game.

The irony of you calling anyone out for being negative towards anyone is hysterical.

Nobody gives a (frank) about the rangers or their players. Go to their blog if you want to talk about them.
