So heres what I was thinking about.

If we want Tuch, then we send Cuylle the other way. Buffalo gets a younger, similar type player with a similar type ceiling.

Im thinking some sort of package where we get Tuch and Jokiharu, they get Cuylle, Kakko and Trouba.

We fill RW1, free up LW for Othmann, and get a young RD.

Its one of those bittersweet trades.

I agree with this. Unless a surprise deal occurs, I think that window has closed for now. Drury needs to mend the fence now.

Basically make a list of every team that cant afford Trouba or simply wont trade for him. Whatever teams dont make the cut, thats his NTC teams.

The Trouba thing seems to be done, Kakko hasn’t had any serious offers, Zib and Panarin aren’t going anywhere, doesn’t seem like we’re going into next year with anything other than Reilly Smith instead of Roslovic and Carrick instead of Goodrow. Jones over Gus, you all know my opinion on that one and it has nothing to do with Gus.

It wasn’t Drury, could have come from the Detroit organization. Once the calls are made and the process begins, more than a few people knew about it. Including Trouba’s agent.

I really think a move being over looked is trading Shesty and getting Askarov. It’s beyond the player swap, the money saved for the next 7-8 years would be invaluable.
