They have the Cap space now to sign Lindgren and Schneider. They will have to kick the can down the road till next year and figure Igor and Laffy out then.

I don't think any functional GM can really operate that way. It's not just Shesterkin and Lafreniere that need contracts next offseason. Miller/Jones/Cuyelle/Edstrom/Rempe/Kakko (if he's still around) all will need contracts too.

The cap will rise, but not enough to cover even close to all of those deals.

So the only way the Rangers will be able to sign Igor and Laffy is to buy out Trouba and hope the Cap goes up??

Brukie,

they have 8 million in cap space available and need to sign Lindgren and Schneider and then have extensions for igor and Lafreniere staring them in the face

they don't have the luxury of paying a 4th line center 3.6 mil per season and found a way out of it

people are overthinking this

Well do tell, how ill they resigned them both next season, Igor at 10.5 and Laffy at 5? Say the Cap rises another 4 million.

I don't know what the solution for Trouba is

you are the one who's been crying all morning over Goodrow being gone and it was a gift from God

I make no sense? Werent you the one celebrating Panarin's 120 point season and the Rangers winning the Presidents trophy, in hindsight, you were wrong. Both didnt carry over thru the playoffs.

are you trying to say that your off season plan would have been to trade Panarin to create cap space?

You’re allowed to be happy about things that happen in the regular season and disappointed that they didn’t win the cup at the same time.

They will keep majority of those players. Trouba will not be here next year and some other moves will be made

So what did you want? Keep Goodrow and be in a cap crunch next year so we can’t sign Laf and Igor, or get out from Goodrow’s contract so we have the $ to sign Laf and Igor?

You can’t have your cake and eat it too…

Goody shot 40% this PO. Past two he shot 10% and put up 2 points. Thats really who he is. Good player but they need his cash and hes replaceable.

Who is harder to replace panarin a top 6 fwd or a bottom6 fwd?
