I'd take Tkachuk and Barkov over Panarin any day of the week.

Unfortunately this isn't NHL2k24 my GM mode.

They didnt need a big name scorer at the time, it was a rebuild.

Doesnt matter now, too late for that debate but most of his points were on the PP, his last goal he scored was when the playoffs were over.

Did you think he has had a good playoff run, ever? No defense, no back checking, lazy skating. He accumulates his points on the PP, then goes dry when the PP is stifled.

- Brukie

Would have been hard to know he was a bit one dimensional in the PO. He was good in CBJ. His 5v5 numbers in regular season were good. All is all happy with the signing but always want a little more from a player being paid that during the PO.

Because a roster loaded with top heavy contracts just doesnt work. Something will have to give in order to get this team to win a Cup.

As built now this team will not win the Cup within this window they have now.

- Brukie

You could argue Pens were top heavy with Crosby and Malkin, Hawks with Toews and Kane, Lightning were top heavy but also did cap magic,

like every other Ranger other than Shesterkin and Lafreniere, Panarin had a terrible time vs Florida

Nah dude, rosters with top heavy contracts can’t win the cup.

This “I told you so” about a thing that only 1 out of 32 teams win every year is such a pathetic flex
- picklerick

The dumbest "flex" possible.

You don’t need to put flex in quotations like you’re too good to use it unironically. You’re not. I’m not. We’re all idiots just for being here

Every team is up to or close to the Cap, Winning the Cup is the prize, Panthers won and will still be strong next season, Oilers added some nice pieces and will most likely make another long run.

Whats your (frank)ing point? Both teams have been more successful than the Rangers and the Oilers are now definitely a stronger team than the Rangers are on paper.

- Brukie

By your logic I thought only cups matter. How has Edmonton been more successful than the Rangers recently? Neither has a cup.

Why does nobody consider that Trouba will come into next season with a chip on his shoulder and play the best hockey he's played for us yet? How come everybody assumes that he is crying and his feelings are hurt. What about him that we've seen thus far has given anyone the indication that he would cower rather than fight back?
- SkjeiStadium

When they ask you for no trade teams that should set off a light bulb in your head. I love the guy but as a business the gm’s role is to enhance the team. If he was making 4 million less we would be having this conversation except maybe Tom.

I'm not good with mock trades but what are thoughts on making a trade revolving around Chytil for Kadri? Would need to be more added from our side, especially financially but a top 3 center depth of Zib, Trochek and Kadri would be awesome

He generates 5v5, produces in the playoffs and plays a hard nosed style that our offense lacks

7M contract till 2029 which will take him to 38 years old. Going to pass on Kadri. Don't think he is the right fit for us
