19th seems about right if everyone stays healthy. And we know that won’t happen.

Once Coots inevitably goes down this team will go from mediocre to downright bad. Who knows what they’ll get out of Drysdale on top of that. I like the kid’s game but let’s be realistic. He’s wildly injury prone until proven otherwise.

Hoping Michkov provides a big boost but he’s a rookie winger with underwhelming center options. I think people might need to temper expectations out of the gate.

Well it didn't take long for the press to declare the Flyers roster improved by doing nothing.

I'm not sure what stats he is using for some of his opinions. Provorov didn't have a great year in 2022 but was he really one of the worst 2 dmen on a team with Risto? Not sure why Michkov would affect Laughton's or ND's ice time going forward either. I will say he made a pretty compelling case for just plain dumping Laughton to the waiver wire but he didn't factor in leadership and "great in the locker room".

3. Its July 10th and not only has there been no trades made, there is not even a hint of a deal pending from any reputable source that I have seen.

I maintain that this lineup has a real chance to be better than last year's lineup since Cam is gone, Deslauriers will be relegated to the 13th forward and Michkov is in the lineup. This concerns me greatly.

Teams often overpay at the deadline for players because they are more desperate at the deadline to make a run in the playoffs.
