The local guys will push whatever agenda the team wants them to. Every single last one of them. Some MAY offer up an occasional quip going against the narrative. Charlie and bill occasional quip because they know just how stupid the narrative is or gets and even they can’t NOT say something probably for personal integrity I would guess

If the Flyers are not actively trying to get a top 5 draft pick in this draft, this is clearly a retool, not a rebuild. You can't rebuild picking in the teens and 20s. This is my litmus test.

They didn’t need to trade into the top 10. They needed to move players before season started to NOT have a chance to be anywhere near playoffs. Same as this tdl and draft and free agency period. They did exactly what they did last year. So prepared for another season likely to hover in that 8-12 range likely outside the elite talent drafting spot.

Remember last season how you were living the team. Wanted to see them win. Make playoffs. Sucking off every useless point they got? You’ll be doing same thing this season. I get it. You’re still in that 90%er stage of fandom.

Just remember next season when people are ragging you about how in summer you wanted players traded and to draft top 5. How what they are doing goes against that.

What db could’ve done last season when unexpected good run and other teams flailing was move players out with value. Put a halt on getting useless points. They didn’t. They won’t. No rebuild. Status quo.

Oooof! Tough question LOL... I am going Brink or Farabee with Frost right there as well. My hope is if they go into the season w/ this roster they need to let Frost and MM play together to see what you have there. Frost has skill and MM skillset might just wake up Frost in terms of production.

If Frost is going to be here, the Flyers do have to see how good he can be. I’m not a big Frost guy but nobody deserves 6 scratches in a row, especially in early October. As far as playing with Michkov, Frost and Michkov could be great together but you also need Couturier to show up. We know he’s a defensively responsible center but I really want to see Coots improve a lot this coming season.

Zeev being a top prospect wasn’t issue.

Now average prospects? Yeah sure. Maybe. As they typically aren’t giving chance to burn 1st year elc within 1 or 2 years max and have to wait anyways.

Get coots out of head. He’s cooked. ZERO chance he will do anything other than like last year. At best he stays kinda healthy and by that I mean not out of lineup for extended periods of time and bounces between a 2c and 3c type roll

Here’s what you can reasonable expect at best 65-70 games 15-20 goals. 20-25 assist. 16-19 minutes a night. Mostly d zone and pk. Some pp time. Only 6 more years at almost 8 years
