100 % agree. had they traded tk laughts etc drafted the player widely accepted possible high end talent they discussion here would be more positive and geared to what people would want next - Stayin alive
Life moves slowly, not at the speed of social media. So, people who post frequently need to have something to say, and what they do say is largely the same things over and over again. If life is good, they say so reepatedly and the reverse.
Except kids (college students or earlier). Whatever happens in reality, they claim to be having a blast on social media. It is a big no-no to be negative on sm.

This is not being mean-spirited, anymore than saying Biden is personally unfit to be President is mean-spirited to the elderly. This is, like the latter, is being blunt about a problem.
Enforcing a sense of amity by personal example is fine. But sticking to that and doing no more is also enabling, and I think it is past time you dismount from that pathetic high-horse where you have hoisted yourself. - PT21

I get it. I like to listen to a lot of the local guys as well. Charlie is articulate and often has a lot of interesting points. A lot of times I try and form my own opinions but take into consideration what others are saying. Where you and I differ is the "rebuild." To me it is a retool on the fly and they are going to have to thread the needle and have a lot of luck for this to work. I hope it works but I am not confident right now nor the past decade. Feels like more of the same but time will ultimately be the judge.
I don't think anyone is wrong w having their own opinion. We can all disagree but at the end of the day we cant do anything about it. It's like being a fan of any other team. Sometimes you feel confident about the way things are going and sometimes you just want to scream b/c they make bad decisions. Over the years the Flyers have rarely made the right decisions.
- Flyfly
Well said. A logical and coherent post. A rarity around here.

Check that box? Not even close. Well I hope they didn’t check that box or anyone thinks that box is checked. You next at least a few high end talents at key positions to have a chance.
But yes they totally lucked into mm. But they are (frank)ing it up. No big surprise. - Stayin alive
You do realize I was being sarcastic right? Of course I know they need more elite talent. But do they? Hence my comment. |

You're exposing yourself more and more every day. It's as if you have a need to harm yourself. It's disturbing.

And so am I.
We have 1 more thing in common: just like you are not fine with where I am, neither am I with where you are.
And here is one thing we don't have in common. I don't bloviate and whine about your persona. That can change if you keep this up.

We can discuss if scratching was the correct thing to do or not but that's a different story. He could've easily provided cover for Couturier. All he had to say was that he is banged up and struggling physically as his game has dropped off. We want to give him some time to heal up. He didn't do that though. Like the bumhole that he is, he had to embarrass him. - MJL
Oh I totally agree from his play he shouldn’t have been in lineup. And idk if lying to scratch him outside of he’s injured would’ve done trick.
Surely captains have been injured and refused to not play because of it. Or “miss a few games” if that is the case you simply can’t sit the captain. It’s an unwritten rule in hockey. Captain even if injured wants to play he plays. They could’ve said to coots and pressed on him hey let’s see if you play well this game or next and if not let’s sit you a few games to heal up or whatever. Like you said they could’ve done it more to not embarrass him or team. You lose the locker room doing what he did. Torts pushes but right or wrong that was overboard |

I didn't say he shouldn't have been in the lineup. If they wanted to take him out for physical reasons, fine. Say so. He shouldn't have been scratched for his play.

Yeah. I meant it more like checked that box? Not even close. Hope they don’t think they actually checked it off. But probably that’s not even a concern or priority to their plan.
Their plan is clear. Maximize profits. They have that 1 star now go market him. Can’t wait to see the videos and slogans this year as sales rise for mm mania |

Yes his play definitely warranted him being a healthy scratch. He was not good. Love to hear why you think otherwise. |

On the one hand, we have a candidate who, among other things, has as his natural way of speech mendacious logorrhea. And on the other hand: a senile old man who appears to be carefully stage managed into appearing cogent by his nurses, like a man being prepped for the visit of his loved ones in a nursing home.
And one of the 2 will be the most powerful person in the world.
mind blowing stuff.

That’s fair. I think his play was horrible and should’ve been scratched a game or 2. It’s ok to disagree on that.
Also agree say why especially being he’s captain.
To further it a bit I don’t think he should’ve been named captain. It was stupid timing. Just wait til end of year. See how it all goes. But again marketing ploy. Did t they name him captain right before Valentine’s Day? Where the women of Philly could get their man a nice new coots jersey with the “c” on it? |

It’s like reality TV. I still think there’s more to come….more plot twists…and maybe even a shocking conclusion no one saw coming. Hopefully the voters get it right. The rest of the world needs it. |

I’ll save you the drama. They won’t get it right. There is no right as it stands. The world doesn’t need it. If anything the world would be better without America interfering.
But I do agree hopefully it is entertaining. Personally I love the chaos of it all. I still both sides up and sit back and watch. I even occasionally leave the house with my Biden T-shirt with my trump sneakers on. |

It’s pretty clear who should be the next President. To me anyway. Don’t think it will end up that way however.

It's clear that his play dropped off but if it wasn't for physical reasons, to let something heal or to give him some time off due to high usage. What does scratching him accomplish? He was an obvious choice to be named captain it just didn't make sense to go as long into the season without a captain and then name him
