Some saying we are interested in Tyler Johnson. What about that? It would be like a Beauvillier kind of signing I guess. 3rd/4th liner. I'm not too keen on this idea.

I don’t get tested but it’s just not worth the risk with a clearance. If it ever becomes federally legal I’ll be fine

I heard the same about Johnson from a few rumor sites (not solid sources). I mean he would make sense for what we are going after a player who would sign a short term deal and could potentially bring some additional scoring to the team. Just don't see the fit with Eller and/or Acciari still not traded

I pretty much agree. Johnson would make this team better so I'm not opposed. But they've really created a logjam for a team that supposedly wants to get younger.

I'd lean more towards they are going to save their remaining cap space to aquire assets at the deadline.

No need for Sully to play any youth when everyone is healthy. (Not my preferred lineup, more my fear before it gets ripped).

3-4 guys probably get moved at the deadline and will open spots for young guys to fill at the end of the season. Hopefully they’re ready for FT roles by the following season.

I really don’t think Hayes was acquired for hockey reasons and his pervious attitude concerns make it likely he’ll be doghoused by Sullivan quickly. I would not be surprised if he were a frequent scratch here

They have a bunch of waiver players they should be trying now. Puustinen, Poulin, Puljujarvi, Bemstrum, Ludwig, maybe Gruden. Plus guys like St. Ivany and Ponomarev are considered NHL ready.

The group behind those guys is far more enticing. Yager, Blomquist, Pickering, Koivunen could be next year's arrivals (a couple maybe later this year). I'd just rather see the first wave get shots then the dumpster diving we are largely filling the bottom of our roster with.

I missed that Yager and Tanner Howe go way back and are good friends. That’s pretty cool.

I could probably drink liquor again, but I’m out as soon as I get a history and science lesson for 10 minutes before I get a drink. Same with trying to order a beer at a brewery.

Jesus. You put Nieto ahead of Puustinen, Bemström, Puljujärvi....

I really hope we manage to trade Graves + for a top 6 forward in a hockey trade.

St.Ivany deserves to be in this lineup. I guess Aho and Shea will fight for the 7th spot (unless we trade Graves and let both in the NHL).

They'll be our future alongside Koivunen. Hope Swanson can make it too.

What do you guys think about Broz, Ilyin and Ponomarev?

Haha that's why I said it wasn't my preferred lineup, just the one I fear Sully will use.

I like Ilyin more than Koivunen as a potential breakout player. That's a nice point total for his age in the KHL. And he's supposed to be a smart, two way player.

Ponomarev is just a guy IMO. He may play, but I don't think he makes much of an impact.

Broz is a maybe. He has a little hype now, but he did nothing for two years after being drafted to suggest he was a future NHL player. Reminds me of Blueger where maybe he doesn't develop offensively like hoped when they took him in the 2nd but finds a way to carve out a role. He's still a bit of a long shot for me but has a chance.

I'd love to see Poulin on the 4th line if we manage to trade Acciari.
