President Trump possibly shot in Butler Pennsylvania while speaking at a rally. His right ear bloodied.
He was evacuated and was escorted out by the secret service.

Allison and Ratcliffe were both huge disappointments for what initially looked like very good 2nd round picks. Both didn’t develop here or with other teams. That’s why just trading NHL roster players for draft picks isn’t always the best way to go.

Some reports that two shooters were killed. This is just a non verified report since I’m sure there are lots of rumors flying around.

This is so sad. Out in the world that I live in, every day for the most part people are nice, look out for each other, are polite, don't (frank) with each other and just go about trying to live their lives.

You turn on the news and you start believing the whole country is on fire. Its why I don't watch the news anymore, because what they show isn't real.

Turn it off and go outside. People are basically good.

That's all I have to say about that.

The chirps against the kids while he refs high school hockey is genus.

Most of the impact of hate in this world occurs not because of the very low % of pathological haters etc. It occurs because of the indifference and/or rationalizations people perform within themselves to avoid having to disturb their lives, and because of cultural/social mores of their times.

I get all of this. And of course pro athletes need to put in consistent and hard effort. The Florida Panthers work their ass off, and they won a cup because of it. But in the end, they won that cup because they have talent. All top teams work hard. Teams that don't have talent, like the Flyers, need to work even harder just to keep up, and just like any engine or body, The longer you work something to its limit, the faster it is going to break down, especially using substandard parts. Players will buy in to any coach or system if they see the path to success. Players aren't stupid, they know who in the room has the talent, they know who is working hard, giving an honest effort. They also see when things aren't working, they see when coaches are scapegoating players. Having head games played on them for no other reason than to play head games. Its all so much more sophisticated now from the training to the advanced stats to the psychology, One only has to watch a game from the 70's to see how different todays game is, and Torts is still using proverbial leeches.

Just my opinion.

- MBFlyerfan

Your opinions are spot on in my opinion. The players will eventually realize the limitations of how Tortorella wants them to play. They'll realize that the style of play and the physical toll, such as from the shot blocking, will ultimately not lead to anything. Then there is the issue of how deep he can get his teeth into the roster makeup. The deeper Tortorella gets and the more control he achieves. The bigger of a disaster it will be for this already dysfunctional organization

LetterKenny and Shorsey are the best written tv shows I’ve ever watched. The Canadian slang and references are pretty great.

What are you even talking about. When everyday fear is pumped out to people from the coming ice age, the hole in the ozone, acid rain, nuclear war, global warming, white privilege, the Covid mess, saying people are trying to take away women’s healthcare , DEI, threat to democracy etc it’s no wonder there are so many angry people in this country.

I’m supposed to live, and raise my kids in a chaotic time because a group of freaks want to change the world to suit their sick fetishes, and ideas of reparation?

Showed their true colours finally when they knew they were losing.

Can’t smear him. Jail him. So have to kill him.

I was making a general philosophical point in direct response to what MBFF posted, you jackass.

Btw: Was the left's rhetoric to blame for the attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband? The shooting of the then largely unknown Scalise? The attempt to kill Mike Pence on Jan 6th? The shooting of Gabby Gifford? The attempt to shoot Clinton in '94? The attempt to kill Reagan in early '80s? Bobby, JFK, MLK?

America has a disproportionate # of barely functional idiots masquerading as human beings (amply represented here in the past hour), a disproportionately high generation and tolerance of anger and violence and a disproportionately easy access to guns.

These things are a part of our culture and will continue to be. Stop trying to find kneejerk scapegoats.
