You've been trying to establish yourself as a superior being forever. That ship has sailed and you have been exposed for who and what your are. A man is judged by his character and his ethics and what is in his heart. Not what he does for a living. I seriously doubt that you teach at an Ivy league school but if you do. That's a glimpse into what is wrong with higher education. They have a scumbag teaching people. Imagine that.

Wait who said I dislike it? On times like this, I have a blast. I often feel society suffers from people sacrificing politeness for honesty, and I generally try to provide a reason for my insults, though of course, the time commitment is not sustainable and will terminate soon.

Let me ask you a question:

Within 10 seconds of watching the footage, along with simple common sense, I knew this was likely an amateurish operation:

1. Because the people in the bleachers behind Trump did not duck. Iotw, they were not getting any instructions from SS to take cover.
2. The casual way the SS covered Trump and took him away.

1+2: the threat was almost certainly already neutralized.

3. The utterly outlandish nature that this could have been a coordinated assassination attempt by someone political and powerful. If that was so, do you think they would have chosen that spot? Do you think they would have missed if they took such a high stakes gamble?

Do you realize what they would have lost if it came out? Do you realize that any Republican candidate, even Rudy Guiliani, would have won the election if the man had indeed been assassinated?

There are many here for whom all of life is a conspiracy. They feel disempowered, and they spin tales to compensate.

But you: you grew up in upper middle class circumstances. Your mom was a doctor. Your daughter studies medicine in Europe. You attempted law school, and med school. You have traveled abroad extensively. You have had access to both education and privilege.

And yet. Your first reaction to an outlandish conspiracy theory was:

Some comments about the W final and tennis nowadays.

My earliest sports memories come from watching tennis. I actually have vague memories of Arthur Ashe winning. I def remember the Evert-Connors romance. I remember Borg dropping to his knees, looking like a fallen Jesus. I remember McEnroe's enfant terrible act, Evert apologizing for him as an American. I remember Becker's victory, younger than the winner of the junior W. Michael Chang at the French. Martina ruthlessly dethroning the "Ice Maiden", and then getting ruthlessly dethroned by the Fraulein.

I remember the young Americans: Courier, Agassi, Sampras and his personality-shorn efficiency. And then, when interest in tennis was fading, Federer, the Mozart of tennis, then Nadal, and then the goofball Joker, with his impersonations of Sharapova and Nadal.

Then the golden age of men's tennis. Each of Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic could have won 30+ slams if they had not been unfortunate enough to have their eras intersect. What I found astonishing throughout that phase is not just their utter collective dominance but the grace they demonstrated towards each other.

I especially remember the 2008 final, where Federer lost and cried and so did Nadal, and how incredibly gentlemanly they were towards each other. It is one of the greatest moments I have experienced in sports. Recently, when Federer retired, Nadal was there, and they both cried that their competition was over. And in the meantime, Djokovic kept on winning.

The only thing missing from that golden age was the hope that something even better could be ahead and carry on this grace off the court as well. After so many false starts, that hope is finally coming true in Carlos Alcatraz. Have you ever seen the combination of someone with Sampra's power and McEnroe's touch. Did you see those incredible touch drop shots? And that he shook hands with the team of Novak as he bounded into the stands?

It is moments like this that make watching sports fun. Now, like Carlos, it is time to watch the Euro finals.

PT21 is too dumb to realize that an intellectual or academic with a high level of intelligence, doesn't have to tell others what they are. It would be inherent in his comments and interactions. As everyone knows, he has been exposed as a complete and total fraud. As for the Nancy pelosi quote, even if that one is not entirely accurate she’s said dozens of things including she wanted to punch President Trump. But the violent rhetoric does have consequences. Constantly dehumanizing a man, calling him “Nazi” “threat to democracy” “Hitler” and so many other things are attributable to Biden, Harris, Pelosi, Schumer, Mad Mad Maxine and so many others. Yes the gunman pulled the trigger and there no evidence anyone put him up to it, but these dehumanizing names and stories backed up by so many commentators have clearly struck a nerve with an obviously mentally deranged individual.

Kind of a dilemma. Couturier is probably play against other teams top lines. That may not be the best break in for a rookie who is not accustomed to the culture and game here.
Frost has the skating and the ability to compliment MM. If Torts yoyos Frost in and out of the lineup that can cause issues as well.
