A left hand glove
Has played well vs Rockford
Nashville just signed Saros (their # 1 goaltender) to an 8 year contract
Nashville has made significant moves post season and appears to be perhaps a much better team. Logically Trotz has a legitimate piece in Askarov to trade insofar as to improve the team furthermore. Trotz is loading up salary cap wise for maybe a one year or two year push deep into playoffs

Also
Just saying a few bullets

Bowman attempted to move up and draft Askarov; failing in pursuit he then choose Comesso

Stauber was allowed to get away, signed with Utah once free agency opened up. I surmise that KD not terribly upset; haven’t heard anything about this from KD!

Reportedly the 2025 Entry Draft has plenty of goaltenders ripe for picking but alas it is almost always a long road before they establish NHL residency.

Mrzak and basicly goal less any top stud goaltender prospects for Chicago. Although Gajan may arise but how good might he turn out. No one knows

Basicly just trending water so to speak with a veteran NhL netminder and perhaps moderate hope in Comesso and Gajan yet to be determined

I see Askarov's name has been mentioned here lately. .. Just for reference he was drafted in 2020, is now 22, has 2 yrs in the AHL starting 44 and 48 games both yrs throwing up a .911 SPG, they made the playoffs those 2 yrs and played 17 games.

He went 11th overall (next goalie taken that yr was Commesso 46th overall), big dude at 6ft 4in and has always been known as a lighting quick ridiculous reflexes goalie. Haven't seen him play AHL but as a jr even though the kid generally looked outstanding a lotta motion/movement in his game.

The kid will cost and the Hawks, if Commesso is not part of the deal, would have two goalies the same age and in 2 yrs both would have earned shots in the NHL. ....... But, Askarov is a legit blue chipper.

The issue is really re-lelearning your defense if the gaolie catches withthe other hand. Let me me hear form some who had a right glove playing with them....it is a process...and maybe they feel this is the time to trade him.

I want all to know I think he is rally quick, reflexive and full of upside but his success imo, is tied to how well the team playing with this kid adjusts.

but I think becuase of the fact he is a rare opposite bizarro goalie, they are going to have trouble getting top value for him.
Ther rea things O like about Solderholm's game. Things that make commmesson as a solid candidate as a small 'tender....and the Czechian kid has some tools...and the fact he was drafted fairly early tells me they saw for flare in the 6 3 " kid who always wanted to be a Blackhawk.

All this mean squat to a tree, until they show major league backstopping abilty to go with their inner attitudes and tools.
I think you decide if Askarov is a world beater before you mortage anything and go get a goalie with a draft pick.
We are not in a hurry in Blackhawk timeline and the final veteran adds and a franchise goalie are sort of so far down the road when the road maps filled with no clear sold adds at destinations, just a roadmap;

This was in the middle of the draft pick battle between the WHA and NHL when an NHL club lime the hawsk was less interested in a salalry war of the newly drafted...before there was that "evll"rookie salray strructure.

The hawks owner was fast friends with so many of the wchl team owners, they simply wanted a non-contested first rounder with upside and it wasn't a matter of better player to draft (with a subsequent bidding war against the WHA...just secure a solid potential pro.) The Blackhawks owner was already having fits that the salraies were going to the moon and didn't plan to pay more for "potential players", so they secured kids who weren't looking to go the the rival league.

Well I tagged Paul's comment, not yours but will definitely make a note of this. Not sure where you are in Europe, but if it's anything like North America I bet they have lavender too. Maybe, just maybe, even in France. If I were a betting man I'd say Provence has fields of lavender.

Edit - And that (Provence) is where you will find Mo and Paul.

It's a big lavender month at the Denver botanical gardens. The actual festival is next weekend at the Chatfield Farms location.
