Where do I sign? - Sabretooth9
I think it's Briere who needs to at this point.
Not trying to covet prospects, but I'd like to keep Ostlund. If we didn't have such a deep pool, he'd be the best or 2nd best prospect on most teams. After a strong year in Rochacha, he should be ready to go too.
Ideally we can end up being midway between last season team goals of 244 and the prior season's 293 goals, which is about 269 goals. This team probably needs at least 260 goals with decent defense/goaltending to get into the playoffs. Of the six teams that had 250-259 goals only two made playoffs (both in Western conf). The anomaly was NYI with their 245 goals. - BuffaloHerd
260 team goals scored was league average last season.
Many are preaching, or even expecting team defense improvement of the 240 they allowed last season.
I'm not sure about that, as there are still questions on defense and in goal.
They were 11th in the league in goals allowed last season.
Being realistic, that seems repeatable as a baseline expectation.
Have to find a way to get to 260 to get to a differential that will mean playoffs.

First things First. Lindy has to install a system that works for these players. To give them that chance, and the players have to buy in right away. If this Team doesn't buy in then we have a problem.
1- Set Up what System you will run
2- Every player that will be at Camp is given a game plan on what the Team wants them to Develop and study in rhe Offseason
3- Come into Camp ready to go, Be ready to install your system right away, players buying in.
4- Get off to a fast start, no hesitation.
5- Can't afford to wait to make adjustments
