if krebs is not part of their plans
yes - homiedclown
Krebs has been replaced by 2 players this offseason.
McLeod and laffery
Unless he’s 3rd line left wing? Which would be very risky |

Beck Malenstyn and Buffalo have a settlement at 2 x $1.35M

Best player ever coming in hot.
Honestly him and Krebs have absolutely no ground to stand on with negotiations.
UPL. They can potentially destroy him in any negotiations. 4.5 x 2 and that’s it. Fix this glaring holes and then let’s talk |

They already tried him on the wing, he failed there. He's a Center, but offers zero value.
Dump him. Supposedly Briere loves him... Work out a trade.. him and Greenway for a 2nd. |

I agree. I’m on the same page. Since free agency started I thought that Krebs lost his spot.
Him and greenway make absolutely 0 sense on this roster.
Greenway lost his job to the entire new 4th line |

Good deal IMO. Half the price of Girgenson for 50% more production. - IonSabres

The perfect scenario for UPL fell into Adams lap with UPl selecting Arb.
Go 1 year on a Prove it deal. The money, whatever it is for a 1 year deal is inconsequential, however seeing him for another year as a starter is invaluable.
Don't go 2 years as that walks him straight to UFA.
Don't F it up Kevin, take him straight to Arb. |

If they don't move him he potentially stands in the way of either Kulich or Rosen in the middle six. |

I agree. If it’s a 1 year at 6 mill. Who cares. I agree we need to see more.
Also Levi needs to show what he can do.
Long term. No way we are affording to keep 2 decently high priced goalies

I think everyone and their grandma agree that we need a top 6 forward still.
If we don’t trade for one. I agree it’s blocking Kulich and Rosen on the 3rd line.
If I am Adams though. I can’t imagine banking on Kulich on the 3rd line and benson or zucker on the 2nd line.
I would be really nervous rolling the dice on that.
(I was begging Adams on this board to call up Kulich. No clue why he didn’t play a few games. You could’ve seen what you had in him as an nhler) |

It makes perfect sense on paper, but an arb hearing creates a lot of bitterness and those players are usually gone the next offseason. I hope they just agree on a 1 year deal before it gets there.
2 years would be insane.

It would create a 6m QO, so it matters a lot.

Yes it does. Arb is an ugly situation for teams where they rip a player in half on why they don’t deserve XXX amount of dollars.
It’s not fun |

ah yes, my hope of kevyn berating someone he's never seen up close has come true.
all that's left on the checklist is to humiliate his starting goaltender and sign a 4th liner with no (frank)ing rights.

Again with the 1 year deals don’t matter.
If they overpay him at 6 mil this year they can’t sign him to anything under that going forward if he plays well.
It absolutely matters what they pay him this year. Not only for QO but everything else.
Didn’t we were last year that one year deals absolutely have an effect on how good or bad the team would be.
If you fails at 6 million then you have a bad $6 million goalie eating up cap Space that you could’ve used for somewhere else.
Sorry - l8 |

Do exactly what Boston did with Ullmark and Swayman.
Sign UPl if appropriate to a med-term contract after this Arb deal next season, Sign Levi to a Bridge Deal.. then make appropriate decision in 3 years.
They have plenty of time. |

If Kevin is smart, and knows he has $12m of Cap Space ($14.5 less $2.5 Bonuses) then, take a very passive demeanor in the hearing... No news to piss him off... The money isn't important.
Win/Win. |

Found the guy who personally reached out to Stephenson on behalf of the Sabres. Said there was mutual interest but Buffalo had no intention of coming close to that Seattle contract. |

You can do it but then you pigeon hole yourself in negotiations for a long term deal. ie Boeser, Kotkaniemi.
