So tuch telling players to not salute after a win and also complaining about it on a podcast isn’t a loser mentality?

Then wouldn’t want you on my team.

What! I wouldn't want him on team. That's why I said he should be gone if the players really believe that.

And Yes you would, because if I wasn't on your Team you would constantly be looking over your Shoulder wondering if you were gonna get Crushed again.

We shall see.

Tuch apparently lead the F Fans when the fans correctly called for Granato's job. It should cost him a letter IMO. He gave you, season ticket holders a big middle finger salute. Does that fell good to you?

Dahlin is the logical choice, but he needs help..alot of help with an immature core group.

I'll say it again, the proper leader of this roster is not on it yet...not sure he will ever be.

I wonder when the trades start to happen in the nhl.

No why the hurricanes pay Necas

Ducks want to ship out Zegras

And so on.

Once one trade goes down. Dominos.

Gms do take vacations around this time but still

Probably won’t get an A as he’s only on a one year contract

It was our former Captain Kyle who lead the charge to not salute the fans, 100%.

Sounds like Necas could sign a 1yr 5.5mill contract in Carolina.

As presently constituted, where to you are this roster ending the season, points wise?

I'm going with 90 pts.
They lost 25 G's from Skinner and haven't replaced that yet, rather hoping for a) internal growth, b) improved health / availability, c) better structure / system , d) continued good Goalie play, e) improved in-game adjustments & tactics, f) improved bottom 6.

The above are great steps forward, but I don't think it is a PO team yet.
IMO, they need a finisher.

And if this is the case, Tuch was on his captain’s side, and regardless of whether your captain is right, a good soldier follows orders, so by Fitz logic, Tuch is a great leader in the locker room because he has his teammates backs.

perhaps they expected a drop in skinners production under ruff and that gap is made up from zucker

I am more concerned who will replace the 8 goals from girgensons

there were a lot of factors going into why jeff is gone. lindy or don, jeff is gone regardless. this was mentioned publicly.

-9M celery on the 3rd line
-upcoming contracts
-team speed
-team defensive responsibility
-needing his cap dollars in 25 and 26.

ultimately it comes down to him being too much of a liability for his cost.

No problem and I'm sure many missed it, a re-post for those that missed it...

"Hank and all other Sabres Hockeybuzz members,

I should have introduced myself with my first post, but thought I just quietly join in which I now realize isn't the best way to come in hear.

I've been a long time reader, since Mike Pachla bogging days, and have always thought there to be good hockey minds with good hockey comments, ideas, and opinion in the comment section. I've always resisted the temptation to join the fray, but finally gave in and recently joined. I just come in to hear peoples ideas and that's all, and I'm not coming to argue or troll.

I appreciate the opportunity to be apart of the Sabres Hockeybuzz community, thanks".

Sabres should send a mid pick to the Oilers for Brett Kulak and flip Joker. EDM needs to shed like 2.5M.

Ya, I don't think anybody is disputing Skinner had defensive deficiencies and had a down season.
Still, in that down season, he did muster 24 goals.
