Why would it be a mear rumour - after all FAN 590 was right on top of Shohei Ohtani signing with the Blue Jays this winter.
New Kraken coaches Dan Bylsma and his female assistant coached Wright in the AHL last year. Maybe they have decided that Wright stinks. - RickJ
I am sure they have the right decision on Wright. Considering that he was drafted so early, something is very wrong if they want to trade him |

Completely rational and agree though I am a bit in disbelief that this is your post and you are advocating for...."No Trade!" - HawkintheD
No trade let reichel develop same with Wright |

I was being sarcastic about Wright - that rumour floated on the Toronto radio station makes no sense to me.
Unless GM Ron Francis decides Wright brings him back much more in trade than he gives up. And you can be sure HOF center Francis has watched Wright in action very closely. He just hasn't rushed him to the NHL.

Seattle in general did everything right when they entered the league, except Vegas's quick success and Cup really makes the Kraken build much tougher a pill for their new fans to swallow.
Seattle has so many great hockey people running things.
Vegas drafts all these additional first rounders and then promptly sends them packing for now talent.
Seattle's picks of Matty Beniers and he had to be considered an average not overly outstanding upside - he was scouted correctly and does so many things real well, just isn't some dominant player albeit a smart & skiled one with toolbox.
It is not like they made a bad pick...the draft was simply ...different than many others when you select at two. They felt he was better than Mason McTavish, and Kent johnson and he is right now.
I am sure the Kraken were surprised that Shane Wright dropped into their laps and weren't going to pass on another centre who might have high pro upside.
The Juraj Slafkovsky surprise #1 and New Jersy going dee at #2, I am sure the Kraken were thinking less about the surprising drops of Cooley then Wright.
They just jumped up and saw it as a lot better opportunity than the guys they could have drafted after him.
Part of the prospect evaluation is how the players place their teams first.
Sometimes it is less a matter of the team looking for a trade as much as the youngsters feeling that a new situation might benefit them better, and THEY ASK FOR one.
In Wright's case he suffered a draft drop, and handled it.
Suffered a cut from the parent club, so he develops his first year and then again this past year suffers a cut from the parent club.
The question to me, is, has he asked for a change in scenery?
I don't think many disgruntled prospects will see coming to Bedardville as a negative, in fact I bet more and more guys are wishing for a chance to play with him.
Seattle won't rashly quit on him. It would have to be Wright asking.
BtW, Seattle has drafted almost all forwards in the early rounds in every draft, so I am not sure WHO would desire Reichel in his present form unless it is packaged with a kid defender.
I think Wright has value.
I don't think Reichel has the eyes of many teams as more than a kid who might turn it around.
And honestly if Wright and Reichel are told, "...show me", I think we know which has more chance to do so.
Reichel's entire game has to start rounding in place.
I would love to say it's his shot or positioning, but there are a lot of details missing...but when StanBo chose him, he knew that he was gambling on upside and growth...
I wouldn't let this trade rumor be your final thoughts before drifting off to sleep. |

Hawks would have to add to the deal but I would include Reichel in a McGroarty trade. |

Thanks to whomever recommended watching Every Shift Season 2 Episode 8: Leveling Up
Can anyone identify the kid with the glasses in the cooking class?
I was just thinking about when there was a six team league the guys in each organization knew each other a bit because the played on minor teams / leagues together.
The idea of these kids getting to be eventual friends early cuts down on later possible awardness, cuts past the later BS. |

He looks about 5-9. Not Lardis, Savoie has a moustache. Maybe Kantserov? |

If mcgoarty goes back to Michigan for another year at the end of the year he becomes a free agent if I m not mistaken. Plus since he has not been traded yet, due to the believe he has attitude and maturing issues could be turning teams off on him. We will see where this goes. My guess he ends up on the eastern conference team. Maybe dach Kaiser and 2nd rounder could get the deal done, but who knows what the asking price is. |

If you are on your phone it will automatically switch back over to mobile, i dont think there's a button for that.
For desktop if you go to the bottom of your mobile thread there'll be a highlight, and it'll say desk top version, i believe |

It would be nice to have some of the Rockford games televised in the Chicagoland area. Maybe the Hawks' new TV network could use Hogs games to fill in some of their programming gaps. - boilermaker100
Maybe I am incorrect but can't you just get all the AHL games (except the playoffs) for free by simply joining AHL.com?

That's ok, CEST is Central European Standard Time. It's a time zone, not a place.
