I agree. Sprong was one of the reasons this team had good offensive depth last season. LaLonde did not do a good job utilizing his skills or give him any opportunity to show what he could do. I would have liked to see him at least get a shot in the top 9 (which never happened). Just bad coaching. I wanted Sprong back... more so than Veleno who will not ever be more than a 4th liner. Vancouver got a heck of a good deal with Sprong. The fact Veleno is a center was why he was brought back IMO... and we know how thin up the middle the Wings are so advantage Veleno.

Seems like Sprong started out on the 3rd line, and then the 3rd line was changed into a checking line with Fish, Raz and Copp. He is not a checking forward.........
He also went up to the 2nd line when Kane was out, and probably before Kane started, He also got 2nd PP time.

No... he doesn't post in here. But he does bad mouth this blog when he posts on the Leafs' blog. Claims to be a Wing's fan (which is a joke) but he's actaully a Leafs' fan. He can just stay of over there and that would be fine.

You are the exception. When you go to the leafs blog you are an ass. Your takes are bizarre and the reason I don’t talk puck with Americans. I will say though on that: the US will be caught up and passing us Canadians in the sport very soon. We aren’t focusing on it as much where the US is - and the cost up here is ludicrous so not as many kids getting into it.

Stevie Y was my god as a kid - I even chose to play in crappy little town called Peterborough rather than somewhere else just cause he did. That was my Stevie obsession that went on for my entire childhood teen and even adult hockey life.
