You'll never see me write "I like Goodrow." The problem with Goodnow is that he should have been a Ranger..
He was acquired via trade, signed to a terrible contract and given away for nothing. That's not how you maximize leverage.
Who orchestrated that entire fiasco? (You know the answer.) - blacksheep1
I recall an apology post to goodrow by you… shall I go find it and show it to banger?

All I know is this: The more "predictive" posts (read: guess your a$$ off) you make about players, teams and their performance during the off season, the more cannon fodder you give other for the "I told you so's" later on.
But its all for fun.
Riley will work out or not work out based on his on ice performance. No measure of analytics or predictive stats can say for sure how he will or will not mesh with another player or line for that matter.
Resurgence happens against all measures, analytics or prognosticators. Most recent Rangers example, Jonathan Quick.
So let the play on the ice be the decider of the pissing contests. - NYRCeph
there's one thing with making a legit argument for or against someone or something
but Tom is legit being a contrarian just to be a doosh and everyone should see it

It’s a contract year for Smith, too. Time after time players outperform in contract years. |

Sure. That doesn't make him good or worth his contract. But again he didn't trade for himself. Somebody had to do that above his pay sale. |

I always like that motivation for a potential if he wants to cash in again. Doing more than Wheeler did will be a win in my book. |

Agreed. A doosh being a doosh for the sake of being a doosh is just a worthless used doosh.
HOWEVER, responding to a doosh you know is a doosh and trying to convince a used doosh to not be a used doosh, well that responsibility falls on the responder, not the doosh-instigator. |

Maybe, maybe not. What the Rangers would still have if they had signed Duclair and traded for smith is 2 draft picks. 2 draft picks they could have used for future trades or 2 picks they could have used to maybe develop some talent. |

I don't think 9479 is backing me, I just think the switch flipped for him. 1 switch at time. |

It’s likely his last chance at a payday. You’ve got to think he’s going to bring it. And hell yeah, he’s definitely an upgrade over Wheeler. |

oh yeah, that's a no brainer, anyone calling him another Wheeler is ridiculous
he is 5 years younger than Wheeler
I am wondering at this point if people have actually looked at Reilly Smith career playoff stats

This is what I think happened (regarding Smith)
Drury wants/wanted to trade Kakko, the offers sucked, and he wanted smith to be Kakkos replacement on the 3rd line. Couple that with trading Trouba, and a woman got in the way of that idea lol therefore we’re “stuck” with Smith where people want Drury fired
One year guys are smart right now. You can pick a different guy if you want, but smith fits that bill at least |

How would you describe the job Drury did during all of this? |
|
|
|
If the 3rd line ends up being Cuylle - Chytil - Kakko like we expect it to, I think 40 points for Cuylle is more than doable. Having a 3C that can produce some offense should hopefully at least get Kakko back to 22-23 form and playing with a better Kakko and Chytil should result in some points for Cuylle - SkjeiStadium
What I like about this line is that cuylle is more than willing to go into the corners and support kakkos possession game, which Zib and CK refused to do |
