Someone who knew Sprong personally from the Q stated many years ago when he was still in juniors he would be an unpopular NHL player due to his abrasive personality. Not sure how reliable it is, but very clearly he has never been well received at any team despite being a quality offensive producer. Sullivan hated him like he does with every defensive liability forward.
