Beyond bare to have so little in a 7 year spread. Also crazy to look back and see the people Blomqvist was behind.

I agree it's better now, though not sure it's that much better yet. It's still mostly long shots, no established NHL talent. Yager and the goalies elevate it though. Would be interesting to evaluate.

Yeah, I mean, anyone drafted outside the top 5 are usually a wait and see...maybe even only top 3..and sometimes top 3 picks never pan out...but I do agree its mostly long shots.

Here's last year's:

1) Braden Yager
2) POJ
3) Owen Pickering
4) Ty Smith
5) Valtteri Puustinen
6) Joel Blomqvist
7) Jonathan Gruden
8) Sam Poulin
9) Emil Pieninemi
10) Sergei Murashov
11) Tristan Broz

20) Jack St. Ivany
21) Mikhail Ilyin

POJ and Smith are gone and Puustinen ages out so that's 3 of the top 5 that wouldn't make next year's list. Canes prospects and second rounders add in, plus St. Ivany and Ilyin were breakout players. And Murashov really.

Actually I'd say Gruden and Pickering treaded water and the rest all had positive years.

EDIT if making a list Ludwig is on it and maybe Zam Plante at the bottom is trending towards interesting.

Pezzetta’s an ufa this coming season. Just give Sullivan a poop lineup, fire him when it sucks, get a coach with some balls in there and sign some real hockey players. At least make Sid’s last years fun to play.
