At what point do we start looking at the Flyers and questioning them as to why there seems to be a developing trend of players that DONT want to play for them? It’s a fair question and now that two high profile players in less than a year.
- mikeyo27

That's right, that is why I think someone has to do some investigated reporting here. Bill are you up for it? You can add Johansen to the list also. What is really going on with him?

There doesn't need to be any investigative reporting done. It's not difficult to figure out. Who cares about Johansen.

How long do the flyers have his rights for? Is it any different than Michkov saying he won’t play for the phantoms and would go back to the khl? If he gets regular time in the khl im perfectly fine with that.

I would prefer Johansen over at least half this roster.

39. Prior to Michkov, the most recent Flyers player to wear No. 39 was defenseman Nate Prosser in 2020-21. Other Flyers to wear the number: defenseman Mark Alt, defenseman Dave Fenyves, forward Ross Fitzpatrick, defenseman Jeff Lank, defenseman Oliver Lauridsen, goalie Robbie Moore, center Marty Murray, and center Mike Murray.

Yes, sure he does ... that's why Briere said just recently he doesn't know what is going on with Johansen.

I see the 3rd worst grade is Minnesota. Decided to check and see what they did, and it was basically nothing as far as both acquisitions and departures. I found this curious as they were the team which moved up to take Buium.

Not to dust off that subject again. Just found it interesting, that’s all.

Montreal 2nd worst with a D+ after their potential star landed in their lap. Their biggest move was locking down Slafkovsky. They paid that man a lot of money for only turning up the heat at the end. Might be a steal, might not. Remains to be seen.

What am I missing that Montreal gets a D+?

Demidov, Hage, and Koivu are a nice trio of promising choices in the first 3 rounds. Their defense is budding. Slafkovsky will be locked into $7.6m/year until he’s like 28, which is a roll of the dice, but I can’t speak too badly on it. They’re taking a chance.

It’s still an uphill slog, but they’re looking better to me than they were 3 months ago.

Johansen was acquired from the Avalanche as part of the Sean Walker trade before the trade deadline, and he was waived the following day for assignment to AHL Lehigh Valley. He informed the Flyers after the trade that he was dealing with a hip injury, which was subsequently confirmed by the team’s medical staff, resulting in his AHL assignment being reversed.

Minnesota is in cap hell due to the Suter/ Parise buy outs. They have like $13+M in dead cap space due to those 2. Next year, it drops down to just over a million each per season.

Oh, that’s a good point. But should that count for this offseason?

I mean, Suter already gets an additional buy out check from Dallas since then. Lol.

This is the same Briere that claimed ignorance about Cutter and Kolosov? Do you actually take GMspeak for truth, especially with this team? Unfortunately most of us don’t anymore. Sure they have to hide the ball sometimes to protect various aspects of the team they run, but the Flyers have earned the reputation of not being entirely honest with their fans and it’s getting worse.

Right, it just feels like a continuation of prior seasons’ decisions is all.

It’s like smackin a dog on the nose for poopin on the carpet yesterday.

What about Montreal gets a D+ thisoffseason. I really don’t know. What did they do/didn’t do

Aren’t they talking about off season transactions excluding the draft? If that’s true, Montreal didn’t do much.

Minnesota signed Trenin for 4 years which is way too much term for a non contending team. I think Philly fleeced Guerin a little by getting a 3rd for flipping picks. I had high hopes for Guerin but he’s looking like a Fletcher/Briere hybrid.

Oh, I just read it as all offseason moves. Didn’t realize draft excluded.

Well, then they pretty much stood pat and focused on building from within. Whole lotta nada outside of the minor things you mentioned and locking down Slaf.

odd that flyers have never said anything or released any statement that I recall.

danny is a putz for not getting an extra pick if indeed he really is injured. Col seems may have lied
