Well, he’s being saddled with a coach that’s clueless about possession driven hockey and offensive creativity, the worst pp coach in the NHL and no legit 1C to center his line. At best, assuming he plays around 75 games, 20-22 goals and 48-52 points is what one should expect. - BiggE
I think this is about where I’m at
I think he’ll start on line 2, though. I can’t see them demote TK right away.
Probably with Foerster and Frost (pending he isn’t in the doghouse yet).
Michkov’s skating should attract defenders leaving Foerster (or Tippett or Farabee) some good looks at the net.
Plus Frost is in a contract year. I’d like to see that mix of kids get a chance to gel with one another. |

The Habs are now over a month without a blog. EK has clearly given up. He is just doing the bare minimum of life support needed to collect whatever income this site pulls in. What a shame. This site absolutely rocked for a good while.

I didnt even realize the Habs were without a blog. Crazy. Figured that would be one that's always on the site for sure.
Devils getting a guest writer was a step in right in direction, though. |

I think we’d take that year 1, no? I kinda expect at least 40 points. 45 and I’m happy. 50 and it’s a pretty good success. |

The big question is who is he going to play with. If Torts puts one of the slugs up at center for 15-20 games on the top 6 then 19G 25A.
If Torts can stop yanking Frost’s crank and he plays mostly with MM then I’m going 26G 32A. |

Animosity and eventual benching from Torts because he doesn't want to lie in front of the crease blocking shots all night long. |

How does he need to get adjusted?
Please don't say rink size because the majority of KHL rinks are NHL sized.

I'm sure the Flyers and his KHL team are run and coached differently. Also you think NHL and KHL are the same? Living in a different country is the same?
What are your expectations then? Or is it He's drafted high so day 1 he better be the best or (frank) him? |

Flyer fans will expect 50 goals and 70 assists...
Normal fans will say that he was projected to be the posted talented prospect not named Bedard and he starts with a team that has more talent than Bedard played with last year. The wild card in projections is how many games will he play under Torts?
If he plays 62 games, he will have 23 goals and 37 assists.... |

Well if you have common sense they you might have thought about, bedard was a point a game player on a lot worse team then the Flyers. So why can't michkov do it with a better team ??? |

Bedard was not a point per game player. We'll start with that.

I don't think his First year will be as smooth as hoped for all the reasons already given. I think he will have a quiet start and pick it up around mid season.
16 goals and 28 assists = 44 points
24 penalty minutes

I said close to it, when I originally posted.
Yes bedard 7 points shy of a point a game on the worst team.
So my point is why can't michkov be that with a better team around him |

It's right there in black and white. Just a few posts up.
This is what you posted
"bedard was a point a game player on a lot worse team then the Flyers."
You were wrong and you're going to be wrong again if you think Michkov is going to be a point per game player in his rookie season.
