Isnt Rousek on a 1 way this year?
I thought last year was a 2way with this year him having to be with the big club - ZiggyBuff
He'll have to pass waivers to play in Roch. But he gets the full $775,000 this year.

the on ice product has sucked long before Adams shown up
my big issues is
10 months ago 6k was the #3 goalie and now we have almost 24 mil tied up in him
4th round picks we give up on right away when we are thin at d depth and giving contracts to guys like Jack Rathbone, Colton Poolman and Dennis Gilbert plus the kid has a hot mom.
draft picks like savoie are now worth pennies on the dollar due to lack of moves when the time was right to strike
the gm talks like he is going to make big moves then grabs 4th liners
I am not sure he is the guy to construct a cup competing team and he really has slow played pissing away dahlins tenure as a sabre - homiedclown
I'm OK with everything you said except the comment on draft pick prospects. No prospect that has yet to make it to the NHL can be traded by himself for a good young top six NHL player. The year after Savoie was draft he was only worth a good young 3rd line NHL player, and it hadn't really changed. Tij Iginla was draft 6th in the 2024 draft, would you trade Cozens, Quinn, or Peterka for him right now? Unfortunately prospects who have not yet proven anything in the NHL, are not worth what they are projected to be. So if you would rather not sell Savoie "for pennies on the dollar" then also say that you rather have Krebs as your 3C or traded something from the team that has value (i.e., Samuelsson, because Greenway doesn't get anything) for the type of 3C that we all wanted. I didn't like seeing Savoie traded away but I'm OK with getting McLeod for him. There were much worst directions this could have gone, like throwing more money at Zemgus to play 3C... |

Sabres embedded video comes out tonight.
Doubt we see anything too juicy. Maybe show Adams walking on the Clarence bike path.
And dumb question: The necas rumor of him not signing.
When was the last time an NHL player actually held out? |

It was clickbait.
Necas wasn't even rumored here till draft day when they were rumored to want to get into the top 10.

Anyone worried about the safeties for the Bills? I thought pretty much anyone with experience can plug and play in McD's defence. Kurt Coleman led the league (or was close to it) in picks in that defence. Edwards has been dinged up since they signed him. Rapp is fine, but Rasul Douglas said in an interview yesterday that most of the time CB's don't know what they're doing and look to the safeties to tell them. I think Rapp can play, but I don't know that he can direct traffic like Hyde and Poyer. Saw they just signed Kareem Jackson. He was good. He got drafted in 2010 though. Somehow Justin Simmons still doesn't have a job? Idk, it's an area of concern for me. |

As it was mentioned he probably gets fired twice in this time frame under any other ownership
Its gross. Sitting here a bit more than a month away from training camp knowing there is little more than hope to separate us from the bottom 15 is a (frank)ing joke - ieetbred
Yeah, I'm done with Adams personally. If we won the Cup this year, I'd still want him fired at it's end. |

If you were willing to trade pick 9 of the 22 draft on draft day 2 years ago, you would have got a hell of a lot better return than mcleod for that pick, which is my point
bad asset management from this gm |

Because it's not often that very obvious mistake is made.

True, top6 forward prospects are rarely traded too though, I think there's two sides to that coin (or rather reasons for a lack of frequency). |

Erik Brannstrom got Mark Stone fwiw - QuinnFan
Circumstances were very different. Mark Stone was traded for defenseman Erik Brannstrom, forward Oscar Lindberg and a 2020 second-round draft selection. Down to the wire the Senators were trying to re-sign Stone to a new contract. Ultimately, he chose not to stick around. Wanting to test free agency.

Making Krebs a key piece to the Eichel trade as well, Adams is the value destroyer, both ways.

Not sure there's too much difference between him and Ehlers as an example. WPG isn't getting the extension done so he's getting shopped. Savoie, Neuchev and a 2nd would've been a much better use of assets IMO and pretty similar value. |
