Looks to me he had 11 games in March and April with a Save % over 900 and 6 games under it. In those 17 games he allowed more than 3 goals 2 times. I would say we didn't score enough in a bunch.

How many wins and did we make playoffs?

He also had sub .900 save% for the 1st few months

March also says hi. šŸ‘‹

- Sabretooth9

winning record in march

he did lose to leafs 3-0

he also let in 3 goals to the wings in a lost game, where we scored 1 goal

he also lost in ot to the leafs 2-1

man if only he played like hasek most nights we would have had that 8th seed

I remember a game at the end of Feb in miami
sabres were flat as could be
6k faced 37 shots, lost 3-2

he did everything to keep him in that game, side note 89 called the ruff hire then w/o calling it https://www.hockeybuzz.co...p?thread_id=186768&page=8

then again if he played more like levi and comrie, we would have Beckett Sennecke instead of Konsta Helenius

Exactly Thank you!

He sucked.

Cases closed.

You literally proved my point. I said late February into March

March he sucked

Would you like me to dig into October to December?

8-7 to close out the season

7 of those games sub .900 save %
2 games sub .800 save %

Please tell me how in the world that is good?

ā€œWinning recordā€. 8-7 isnā€™t something I would be happy with

6 games in middle of march

got us 9 of 12 points

loser point vs leafs
beat oilers, wings, islanders, seattle

put us in position to get the 8th seed

team responds by laying eggs vs oilers, sens and leafs in 3 of 4 games and we are cooked

when you score 3 goals combined in 3 games at the end of march vs the sens, wings and leafs, your team deserves to be out of the playoffs

He played 6 games in December and split them 3 above 900 and 3 Below. I just gave you his whole season. Your numbers aren't right

Yeah thatā€™s not good enough to make playoffs.

Holy cow you have low standards.

You are with every other game not playing game. So 50% of games. He stinks up the joint

Double checked what, what you said is wrong. And when you are losing games and only allowing 2 goals or even 1 in a couple. That means the Team sucked, not your goalie.

So the Team around him had nothing to do with it. My standards are I don't blame my goalie when I can't score more then 2 or 3 goals in a game.

7/31/2025, the date is set.

20pts and defensive overall under 75.

If I'm right, you change your profile name to QuinnFan'sFan. If you're right, we forget this ever happened?

You're going to be pissed when he's got 20 points before the new year...

I think 6K will be fine. Good enough to be the backbone im not sure yet but this team as its constructed sure needs him

Peterka needs to take another step and I think Quinn is awesome. He would have put up numbers last year, he really needs to stay healthy for this team to have a chance too

If Tage and Cozens are 35 goal, 35 assist Centers for the rest of their careers, is that good enough for the Sabres to be cup contenders?

It might not be.

He took major strides in his second full NHL season, stopping 22.46 GSAx (sixth in the league, just behind Swayman) despite playing behind a porous Buffalo defense. Luukkonenā€™s biggest asset is his mind, reading the ice to stay ahead of plays and make saves look easier than they should.

From the Atlantic, rating each of the NHL Team's Goalies.

While they generalize with the "despite playing against a porous Buffalo defense" statement, delving I to the metrics a bit reveals the Sabres gave out HDCA like candy on Holloween. Those shots are the most difficult to save. Your blanket statement ignors this and laces the full weight of a team game on the goalie. It isn't a good take.

Yes, he has much further to go in continuing to develop and become more consistent. Good thing he is only 25 and has a very long runway.

You certainly have different takes. It's called being a Contrarian. Effective in some cases, not good as a standard.

36, those are raw numbers.
He uses a website developed in Asia by three Koreaan guys in a garage because they add more context to the Raw stats. The NHL numbers are garbage.

Not unless they have 2 wingers scoring 100.
Teams generally need 2 elite players up front, and 1 on the back end.

I'm ready for a blockbuster trade.

So the defense was the reason why he has poor angles?

UPL also isnā€™t great at reading pass acrosses or reading the play in general.

Defenses fault again?

When UPL looking small in net and is 6ā€™5. Defenses fault for that?

The defense didnā€™t play great but UPLs issues are based on his game / fundamentals.

Levi is so fundamentally sound and structurally sound. Itā€™s like night and day between him and UPL

If you have time.

Go to a Sabres practice. Just watch the difference between both goalies movement wise.

Levi is 5 inches shorter than UPL, of course it's easier for him to move. And there different style goalies.
