Definitely need to take a step. The Power hate is incredible though. They've failed to get him a partner that works up to this point(That they are confident in using).
Dahlin-Byram
Power-Johnson
Samuel-Joker
Clifton
Would be my D lineup based off how they worked together last year. Different Coach, system etc. though. - DirtyDan
Was going to point out the Power stuff as well, but you beat me to it. He basically says he isn't living up to his pay, before his ELC is even over. Power didn't play like an $8M defender last year, true, he also wasn't an $8M defender last year, he was on his ELC (as he later points out). He was the least of our problems.
I also didn't like the "goaltending" buzz word. UPL played amazing last year. He's talking as if he needs to take another step to help. If UPL played a lot better than last year, he's winning the Vezina.
He just doesn't watch us play unless it's against the Leafs, so he really has no idea what he's talking about. He also hates the Sabres, so if we do succeed, he simply won't talk about it. The entire Spittin Chicklets cast, to me, just a bunch of Cris Collinsworths. |

UPL's season was good, bad, great, weak, good. Doesn't have to be much better, just has to smooth things out. Getting underworked then overworked didn't help matters.

He used a lot of words but did not say much. He started off by saying its been 13 years so they are due, follows that up with they won't make the playoffs unless the players with big contracts step it up. Doesn't commit to anything.

Despite the lofty contract and upl expectations, I think we’ll see our share of Levi
Ride the hot goaltender imo |

Levi could be #1 by the end of the year. I don't like how their confidence switched so drastically so quickly.
Kev seems to think he can navigate this like Boston. I don't think it works out that well very often.
Now, they have to ride UPL for the first half and Levi is likely to start in Roch. I would have preferred the competition. |

Adams has locked himself into a bunch of longterm contracts. Really need to see something or they could become a chain very quickly. |

that cap in 26-27 looks pretty scary right now if the cap does not go up much in 2 years

While it wasn't the most consistent play ever, I think it was less wild than that. We have to remember, we were amongst the worst in high danger shots allowed, gave up more rebound goals than all but 2 teams and jerked him around as you suggest. Some inconsistency has to be expected, if not fully forgiven. |

HIs last major decision before taking Senior Status (retiring from this position).
Why not overturn a jury's decision when you wont have to answer for it in two and a half months.

Kev still loves Levi, regardless of the big upl extension.
Agreed on the Boston blue print 1A and 1B
I’m thinking the phenom locks in a roster spot out of camp . If not Rochester until needed.

Maybe the biggest difference between “the biggest albatross in hockey” and “BobBee!! ” has been the defensive play in front of him. |

Maybe, but when you make goalie decisions in camp, sometimes Comrie looks like your #1.
Did Reimer sign to be their AHL starter? Get the feeling they offered him #2.

Yeah, that’s a good question
I kinda feel like it’s an open battle in training camp.
Although starting Levi in Rochester shouldn’t hurt anyone’s confidence hopefully.
Imagine an inevitable injury or cold spell would rekick this team with a call up |
