Troll post. Almost everyone admits now the lockdowns and turning life upside down was completely unnecessary and did little to help. You must be one of those quad vaxxed that’s still gotten covid 6x and tell everyone, “but if I wasn’t vaxxed it would’ve been worse!!!” Get out of ur basement and get some fresh air |

You can’t put Laf on the 3rd line.
I’d be ok with
Panarin Zib Kakko
Kreider Trocheck Laf
That’s telling Kakko, we’re giving u absolutely everything u need to succeed. If u still can’t put up 45-55 pts, you just stink. - nyrangers9479
I do believe it's time to seperate Kreider and Zib. They need a time out from each other. |

Bold Idea.
If the Rangers cannot get over the hump to win the cup this coming year, I would consider trading Chris Krieder. His contract is not trade prohibited at 6.5 AAV and his production. His contract is now 15 team limited, not a full NMC.
Unless he falls off, he would return decent value, allow players to move up and free up salary, especially if they are going to trade Trouba.
Considering the recent demeanor on here, I will qualify that this is not a backseat GM statement and a demand of what they should or have to do. Just a random thought. |

This is not a hot take, other have discussed it. If they don't win, anything and everything should be on the table. |

I have been asking for this since Kakko came back from his injury. If bread can’t you get you going in the regular season then you really do suck |

Why are we going back to Covid?
I dont see where you are going with this? - Brukie
Idk, People brought it up. To say it didn't effect the NHL is not accurate. |

Not so much as me presenting a "hot take". I don't read all posts, so not sure what was discussed. So I would say I agree with the possible idea.
And trying to steer conversation away from other topics. |

The time to trade Kreider was this summer. His value would never be higher coming off of almost 40 goals and 75 points, plus the production in the playoffs. They would have maxed out. Don’t think the value would be there next year as he will most likely regress some and a year older |

Id hate to do it because he isnt the reason the Rangers havent made it to the finals. It would definitely be a drastic change though.
I honestly dont see them doing this.
If Drury is still here when Panarin's contract is up, I can see him not extending him since it is well know Drury isnt happy with his playoff performances. |

It's impossible. Kakko is a below average nhl player. - blacksheep1
It’s unlikely, not impossible.
Kakko is above average in many areas of the game, just not the ones we expected. Like others are saying, give him one last chance to prove himself surrounded by talent and if not, PEACE OUT. |

I agree, just saying the value will never be higher to max out now. Just don’t see it next summer happening |

Anyone here see the Jeff Marek news? Looks like he's out at Sportsnet.
I found it weird that he just kind of disappeared after day 1 of the draft, and his producer finished up hosting the last half week of his radio show after free agency. Seems like something weird happened, but no one is saying anything. |

Every time you tackle this subject, it sends me for a loop. I just can't grasp that you are pondering the idea in your own mind. |

Agreed, but they were never going to entertain it this year. But there is a logic next year if they decide to move into the next generation, trading Trouba. If his production doesn't drop off too much, who knows year to year, then it still is a good return since his cap hit is a good deal for his production with only 2 more years. |

I actually was thinking a third line of Laine, Chytle, and Kakko might be solid. |

Then who are you trading to making cap room with (and who are you trading that they would want)? With Laine at 50% retained that leaves like $4m in cap space for Lindgren if he will take that. That only allows us to carry 2 extras. Also, why wouldn't you put a potential gamebreaker like Laine with Mika and Kreider?

Forgive me, I thought he was released from the blue jackets… no contract. Ek (I know, I know) said he was given permission to speak to teams… I glazed over and assumed he wasn’t under contract but yes… what you said makes sense. My bad. |
