Eight by 8.5 mil. Minnesota clearly saw enough year 1 to make a big bet |

I saw a video yesterday from The Hockey Guy doing a redraft of the 2020 selections. He admitted it was too early to stand by his choices, but had Faber moved up to (I think) 8th OA. |

Plus the rising cap, so a lower % taken up by the contract. I think it's 9.23% or so now, will likely be 8% of so in 2025-26. |

If Lindgren gets that 5 years at 5+ million per it could go down as Drury’s worst contract |

Is that what he is reportedly asking for? I agree that would be too much $ and too much term. |

That would make him 31 at the completion of the contract, right? That's not bad. He may never play 82 games a season, but I'll still take him on my team.
And, if his camp is putting the $5M number out there, an arbitrator will certainly come in lower. The guy has played on our top pair since he entered the league. You can't low ball the guy for his entire career. |

His value will never be higher than right now. I'm kind giddy to see how this goes. |

I'd really like to stay away from that sort of term. He'll be 31 in 5 years but he has the body of a 40 year old at this point with the beatings he's taken. I think he brings a lot of heart but his game took a step backwards this year IMO and will likely continue to do so.
My ideal scenario is Lindgren gets a 2 year deal and EJ Emery can replace him after that |
