Konecny is sick though. He’s like a good version of Jake Guentzel.

I like konecky also he reminds me of bunting with a bit more bite to him. I'm trying figure which way the flyers are going? Not that I care about the flyers. He also has a 6 year ntc.

I don’t think dubas can outright tank with Sid geno and Letang on the team still. But if trading for laine goes well he could be traded for kids or draft stock.

At this point I think it’s safe to say Sid has some reservations about finishing his career with Dubas and Sullivan running the ship. So he might not be here.

I understand what your saying about tanking..But if you look at the players dubas brought in I don't see much help in the bottom 6? Kevin hayes and emil bemstrom, 5"9 blake lizotte, beauvillier? The positive side is they are younger minus hayes..Yager I hope makes the team. The other problem is if sullivan will play these younger players like yager.

I agree there. I think at best he is hoping on some buy low candidates to flip at the deadline for draft picks.

Yeah but where does he play at even strength? He doesn’t have a high enough IQ to play with Sid, Malkin’s not good enough to carry an absolute floater on offense anymore, and his skill set would be totally waisted playing the third line with a defensive center like Eller. I just don’t see it at all.

Eller at least has a small pulse for offense, he had 15 goals and 16 apples last season only getting around 15 mins TOI. He's also pretty good defensively which helps with Laine's floaty shortcomings. Eller was a real dog for us last season, he came to battle every night. He surprised me. He's like a faster Bonino. Its kind of crazy how similar their career metrics and production are haha.

The real problem with my new HBK line joke is that Beauvillier is no Hagelin haha. Hagelin was excellent defensively for the Pens.

I do think Laine and Eller could work, though.
