Nah (frank) that. Yeah it would be nice to enjoy entire season of hockey. Unfortunately when team makes the same stupid no chance to ever win moves over and over and over again then yes every fan should be outraged and do nothing but put the team on lamblast. Sorry

All that to have him come over for a month and start 2 games. Really unnecessary and foolish.

But could they have? Krebs, Tuch, a 1st and a 2nd plus having the 10 million in cap space.
- MBFlyerfan

Krebs trash. Tuch meh. 1st and 2nd.
Yeah Philly had the ammo no doubt to match that

Unfortunately no cap room because hehehehe the stupid (frank)s keep giving out long term big money deals to “good “ players or useless players. Destroying any (frank)ing chance to ever make a real needle moving type move.

Yet some still defend even the latest deal squandered I mean signed in tk. This team is a (frank)ing joke

Its my opinion that even if they all play perfect, they aren't talented enough to win anything. They just aren't good enough. Pride and giving a poop can only take you so far when you are playing against more talented players who also have pride and give a poop.

The Flyers seem to think they have the market cornered on playing the right way. That they are the only team that has a culture, or that their idea of culture is better than all these teams that have been winning cups over the past 50 + years.

- MBFlyerfan

Because the stupid fanbase believes the narrative… BE A (frank)ING FLYER!… IF HE DOESNT WANT TO BE HERE WE DONT WANT HIM!!!

Tough guy philly.
Too stupid to realize what a loser team they are
Fans even more dumb to NOT see it
STATUS QUO!!!
50 years
60 years
70 years
This team never winning poop again

That part is so true.

"If you have the facts on your side, pound the facts; if you have the law on your side, pound the law; if you have neither the facts nor the law, pound the table."

The Flyers are the guys always pounding the table and wondering why they keep losing.

Just hammers home what they do to good fans, they take the needle in a haystack approach, and yes, I will hope like hell it works. Hope is not a strategy….
- wcorvette

Hope is a dangerous thing.
Wish in one hand and poop in another….

I hope they fall fast and hard right in their puss. They deserve it. The harder and faster they fall the quicker the 3headed monster gets replaced.

Then maybe a little hope that someone will finally get it. It’s truly all a flyers fan really has.

They don’t really talk about winning though. They talk about building.
culture, the flyer way, keeping guys that want to be flyers, etc. They don’t really talk like they’ve won anything. They don’t talk about the cup. It’s not on the franchises radar. It’s not what the flyers are about

Personally I don’t think it matters who is GM, at least not in Philadelphia. I think Hextall is the closest to a GM that I saw attempt a rebuild and he was replaced quickly with a guy willing to spend.

This is gaining steam. Bringing this kid here from Russia to make him sit behind Cal Frank’s Peterson was stupid since this whole franchise is in a supposed rebuild. But to not be professional enough to help this kid through the acclimation process is a freaking joke. Piss poor “gold standard”. I’m really starting to think Cutter might not be the bad guy in this.

Reddit is full of people calling Kolosov soft and saying it was up to him to make it work and to earn his way up to the big club.

Some point to the support and attention Michkov and Fedotov as if the money and support magically translate.

I’m not defending the Flyers in this situation. This had to suck for the young player. I’m a little different though. If I was in the player’s shoes and I’m in a country where I don’t speak the language, I probably just want to be left alone anyway. Just put money in my pocket and I’ll make the time work.

So let's say they are a contender 5 years from now...what will you do? You will have nothing to complain about. I'm worried about your overall health that you have so much hatred for a hockey team. I can't remember everyone on here but weren't you the one the one who stated Johnny G to the Flyers? If so, perhaps Columbus would be a good team to follow. I apologize if I have the wrong poster.

The difference in support for Michkov vs Kolosov

https://flyingfishhockey....o-north-american-culture/

The Flyers hope Michkov can have a basic grasp of English as the season goes along.

Fortunately, the Flyers have two Russian-born players, Egor Zamula and goalie Ivan Fedotov, who can help with the language barrier.

Said Michkov: “It’s really comforting to have someone that speaks the language (Russian) on the team. Everyday I’m getting more and more English. Hopefully soon, I’ll be able to not only just listen but answer.”

Having those veterans around should help.

“It’s not going to be easy for him (Michkov),” Briere reiterated. “What we’re doing is we’re starting with a tudor. Re-signing Zamula, bringing in Fedotov, those are guys who hopefully will be able to help him.

....

Michkov’s mom (Maria) and little brother (Prohor) are scheduled to join their famous family member at some point.

“Eventually,” Briere said. “That’s the plan. It will be good to have his mom and his brother here with him. That’s something that will also help a lot.”

Kolosov should've had some support in the AHL similar to that which Michkov is getting in the NHL, which apparantly he did not have. It's not like the Flyers have ever been shy about spending money. And Honestly, Peterson playing over Kolosov was an organizational mistake as well but nobody on the big club pays attention to the AHL team.

The Phantoms were 13th out of 15 in the eastern conference. The 2 teams above them in the standings didn't even make the playoffs. This was not a great team.

whether true or not another black eye for the gold standard.

They should have 100% had someone with him knowing they had no russians in LHV. It is another organizational failure.

as far as playing time not like cal or felix where lighting up the AHL. He should have played. Though lappy was fighting for his $$$ ext. Cant play the kid need the comfortable old worn out blanket.

Who would know how to speak English better than a Tudor?

Maybe a York?

I didn't skip anything. It's not uncommon for a young player to have some ups and downs. I used Tippet also in one of my replies to you. Did you miss that? Your premise is simply not realistic. Why would a struggling team trade a still very young star player for a collection of inferior non star level players? They wouldn't!
- MJL

The premise was it was a long shot, maybe start there, then it was Tip, York and Farabee all took another step forward, maybe a team like the Sens struggled. Getting Tip who would be a 30 plus goal scorer 60 plus points in this scenario and York who would have taken a step and be a 40 point D, 12-15 goals. That is not nothing, in fact that is a good bit. Could be a pick involved, could take a bad contract back. No, get a potential 1C is not likely, but that is where DB has left it, threading that needle, needing the perfect partners and giving prime assets to get what they need.
