5th Highest cap hit in the NHL next year.
- VanHockeyGuy
Yes, I’m aware, but his contract isn’t about one year, it’s about how he performs over the life of the contract when compared to the ever-changing cap. Talk to me in 8 years.
Don’t worry about stuff that hasn’t happened yet. #dramaqueens |

I'm talking about VAN, not after he's bought out and playing in Florida?

Such a dumbass, subsonic is anything traveling slower than the speed of sound, which is generally accepted to be 1,100 feet per second. So, anything traveling less than that is subsonic….dumbass!! - Pacificgem
I stand by my original comment then. |

He’s so soft and he’s a complete wussy, but he scores points and helps the team win…so I’m all in after the Benning disaster years. - Pacificgem
Not sure he is soft, he has that vicious and extremely intimidating death stare. |

Ya, they should just hand out massive contracts and hope the player lives up to that contract for a short period of time. Very Benning-like |

So we’re just ignoring the fact he’s but 25 years old and he’s 11th all-time in Canucks scoring, with 412 points in 407 games? That he was the 7th Canuck ever to score a 100+ point season at 22/23 years old? That he’s finished 10th and 18th overall in NHL scoring the past two seasons?
I think they’ve hedged their bets nicely on the fact that he’ll continue to help the team win and put up a lot points doing it. Allvin has been tremendously successful while you sit in Kitimat and pretend you know better, I think you should just zip it and enjoy the success he’s providing you. |

He’s not an elite player, he’s just a very good player. That was his first taste of playoff hockey. Give it time. Mike Modano had 2 points in his first 9 playoff games, things turned out well for him. Alexis Lafreniere had zero points in 7 playoff games last year, he looked lost out there, this year he had 14 in 16 games.
Canuck fans are the worst, they hate their own team and their best players. |

Petey, Miller, Hughes, Demko, Boeser, Garland, Hoglander would all be traded and at a low point if management thought like the group in here who let a poor season, slump, or setback in development define their careers and that's just based on the last couple of season's performances.
Season before last there were a number of players struggling(in Petey's career season) and the lynch mob wanted them all traded etc etc... a year later, Hughes wins the Norris, Demko the runner up for the Vez, Miller career season, Garland playing lights out on the leagues best 3rd line.... the core looking legit... future has promise... and the same people now have their sites on another young forward who has only truly struggled for a portion of one season in his career.
Let's see how he does in year one of his new contract before the tar and feathers are out. It's ridiculous.
lol... Hughes and his under 8mil contract would be playing in NJ if fans had their way because he's not big enough for the NHL and is over paid.

You're the 2nd person to take Miccah's hardest shot comment out of context. He was talking about him going from hardest shot in the AS to not using that shot because of a possible injury. It wasnt presented as a boast.
