"We worked with the doctors and the trainers and felt he could keep going,” Tocchet explained at his own press conference a couple of hours later. “So no, we didn’t feel like we had to shut him down.”

Hopefully he prepares himself well this offseason. Opponents won't be making it easier on him. He got a taste of what to expect when the stakes are high.

I believe that was a response after the team was blindsided by Pouty's excuse that he was injured when in fact he was upset by not being invited to the Met Gala.

The problem is it was one he could play with but affected his offensive production. Also it wasn’t disclosed by team clearly either.

It’s a bad look for Petey and team and some people would rather trade him then risk more disappointment. Being highest paid now it just will be scrutinized more.

Reality is Canucks are committed to him and believes he’s a talent that will help them contend.

I would put money on that, yes.

You’re handle should be “subsonic”.

Facts: He was injured. They knew he was injured. Does anything else really matter?

Bitching about his poor play in the playoffs should always have the asterisk that he was hurt.

So Petey goes, so does the team.

When he puts up points, they win. When he doesn't, they don't. The Canucks should be committed to him, he's a top talent in the league.

Not sure he is soft, he has that vicious and extremely intimidating death stare.

You're the 2nd person to take Miccah's hardest shot comment out of context. He was talking about him going from hardest shot in the AS to not using that shot because of a possible injury. It wasnt presented as a boast.

They seemed very surprised by his independent declaration after the playoffs that he'd been playing injured since January.
One way or another, either the team was very negligent or Pouty was very negligent. My money is on the moody, inconsistent player.

Sure, I never said there wasn't negligence at play. Simply that his injury was a contributor to his lack of production in the playoffs

Imagine liking the players that play for your favourite hockey team, what a concept!

I bet you make fun of people who wear jerseys to the games too
