For the most part, Alberta is nice, except the winters. Work is great and there is money to be made if you want to work. It became our home and has provided a good living for me and my family since we moved here 11 years ago from BC. I was born and lived in the Lower Mainland BC for 40 years, but the economy sucked and it is run by a bunch of idiots. Edmonton is gross, and I hate all their poop teams. But the thought of ever moving back to where I grew up in Surrey, doesnt seem any better, even if I could afford to. So while I bad mouth Edm, there are places way worse...

I don't think you guys know Surrey, there are some real nice parts in south Surrey and even the whally area is been cleaned up. It still has its crap areas , but what city doesn't.
