They may "pretend" to take Torts' side, but as soon as the rift starts forming they will be looking to find a new coach behind the scenes. |

Also not a rare occurrence with this team. Players being unhappy with the Flyers is a trend.

Wasn’t there something with Mason? Signing Richards, and Carter to mega deals only to move them shortly after.
Let’s not pretend that Ellis, and Patrick were happy. That Frost, and Farabee are happy currently.
The Couturier situation last season.
Krug refuses the trade. Gauthier refuses to play for them. Kolosov goes home.
It’s frankly pathetic. - flyer_nutter
How do you know Krug canceled the trade because he didn't want to come to the Flyers?
Never heard Ellis was so unhappy that he wasn't going to play for the flyers.
Nopa has a legitimate beef with the flyers, the concussion crap screwed him up.
Maybe kolosov felt cock blocked by Fedotov.

Let's not forget Ryan Johansen. Not sure if that was just the Flyers not wanting him or if it was mutual? - Flyers_01
Colorado players said he was a cancer in the locker room. Why would the flyers want him be in their locker room. |

Change that to "in the next 5 years" and Ill agree. In the short term I am very excited to see Michkov in games where I can understand what the announcer is saying.

Not especially. Why should a flyers fan invest time into the tam when they are so dysfunctional. I believe if they were honest about their direction and focus on building a Stanley cup contending team and their actions showed that people would be more accepting of them being a bad team.

After a decade of bullpoop, one lucky draft pick doesn’t bring me back around.
Maybe it does for some, and that’s alright.
If the Flyers operated the way they do in a more critical hockey market they would be eviscerated, and rightfully so.
Michkov is a fine young player, but they are already hyping him up to be messiah. This has just as much of a change to be an Eichel situation or the quiet good soldier Giroux was.
I can’t get excited over one player, when the overall strategy is BS, and lead by by dippoops.

You're wrong. People on this board are almost universally excited to watch Michkov play in the Flyers uniform this upcoming season.

Bryzgalov's teammates said he was a space cadet and a cancer and the Flyers signed him to a 9 year contract anyway but that's ancient history.
The question was what players were unhappy with the Flyers, not the other way around and there was talk of Johansen's history with Torts at the time.
Also, according to at least one report, the Flyers waived them because they were being childish.
https://x.com/BR_OpenIce/...rellas-hard-feelings.html
The Flyers waived Ryan Johansen in part due to a complicated history with Torts and hard feelings towards shared agent with Cutter Gauthier.
Not really seeing any Colorado mention, just the Flyers had their feelings hurt and took it out on RJ. |

This board has become an anti Flyers management echo chamber. It’s so painful to visit and almost impossible to have a meaningful hockey related conversation.
I truly wonder if some folks here love to stay miserable. |

Snider pushed for bryz and then fought for a special buyout to get rid of him.
Ryjo was a thrown in for a trade so the flyers got a first round pick. 2 different situations.

Most of what people are talking about is documented or quotes from Briere, etcs themselves. Just because you don't like the facts doesn't mean you get to have your own facts.
If you disagree and can back it up, you should post. Asking people to trust the current management despite evidence in hand is not reasonable.
I think everyone is excited about Michkov and like Konecny as a hockey player but the direction of the team is well documented.
Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. |

if such a cancer why bring him into the organization? if such a cancer why waive him within minutes to go to LHV and poison their lockeroom?
if such a cancer seems odd they would bring that type into the best culture organization in all of sports. |

Two questions for you. One, is the anti Flyers sentiment unjustified? Second, why isn't critical conversation towards the team, meaningful hockey related conversation?

And how does repeating the same talking points everyday to the same 6 people help? 😂
At least once a day, like a goldfish who forgot that it ate, someone unironically makes the “Torts is going to bench MM/he better stop a puck with his face” comment. Without fail.
BOOO-RINGGG 😆
Who’s dumber? The fan that cheers their team on or the fan who b!tches and moans every day on a message board about a team they say they “can’t stand” or are “done with”?
Talk about a waste of energy. If you’re not enjoying it what are you in this for? What do you get from this?

Why send someone down tp the ahl?
Burry his contract maybe!
He never played for the phantoms.
Pretty much went on IR almost right away.
And that's where he will be this season |

It’s every. day. Nothing new is said or brought to the table.
That’s an echo chamber 😆
I know you don’t like hearing this but.. go outside. You’re here all day every day.
It is not healthy 😂 |

he never played in the ahl because he claimed he was hurt. they had no idea he was "hurt" when they acquired him hence why on waivers within minutes.
their goal was to have him in the ahl. So again if such a cancer why would you want that in your farm team locker? |

The Flyer organization doesn't know how to handle Russian players. They never have, and it's quite possible, they never will. |

At the time, what Clarke did to Kharmalov, was great. However, it's time to stop living in the past, and succeed the way the game is played today. Time to turn the page, change the culture and treat Russian players..all players.. with respect. |
