Okay, completely out of left field but what's everyone's thoughts on giving Nail Yakupov a PTO? He's a right wing with a high draft pedigree. Maybe his last few years in the K have changed him? Not sure what his contract status over there is but maybe he's someone to try as a reclimation project?

I don't see any reason why he'd be looking to make an NHL comeback or why team's would change their stance on him. Having said that, I'm of the opinion that we should give PTOs to everyone (including me!). There is no downside and if he's got anything left in the tank that would be great. If not, back to Russia with you

I also don't think Trouba, the captain of the team, is going to come out and publicly say to the media how badly it effected him & his family, and how he wishes Drury & co went about things differently. That'll quickly make the fans and likely the organization turn on him. Hs job is to downplay it and say things like "it's all noise." I'm sure there was some truth to the reporting. How much.....only Trouba and the NYR brass know
