This is a decent explanation of how he fell.

- MBFlyerfan

Intriguing, I was thinking it's because he has the same agent as cutter and being ncaa player the Flyers were not gonna go down that route again.

I wouldn't want to deal with that agent if possible again, advising cutter to ghost the whole organization, and not telling him to at lest talk to the club

I'll start today.

Management is cluessless.
The coach is a bully.
Our scouts can't identify talent.
We screwed the pooch on signing Gautheir.
Kolosov was abandoned.
The Earth is flat.

Please discuss.

I have it as my backup to cable…not the best quality on a lot of channels….but all the PPV…any movie ….any old or new series…for 15$ a month per Amazon stick. Every single game…even watched a few of Michkov’s games last year.

It seems the question is always, "there must be something wrong with him we don't know about otherwise they would have picked him" instead of "I can't believe we passed on him".

Conclusion
Zeev Buium has not played a game in the NHL yet. We don’t know how this is going to play out. My belief is he has star potential and could make a major impact in the NHL, but only time will tell if that projection comes true.

Considering the path that Buium has taken, the success he’s had and the massive uptick in his development arc, there’s a chance he could touch on the Cale Makar/Quinn Hughes tier of defenseman in the modern NHL. Considering he actually outproduced both players at the same age with similar skillset and actually a little more size, you just have to wonder what his ceiling can be at the NHL.

To see that same player slip to 12, given the lessons of the past, I simply had to examine it further. While I think we’ve got an explanation for the why, we won’t know for a few years about the actual results.

We’ll stick a pin in this one for now, but it’s going to be fascinating to watch how this all plays out.

Well, according to the Flyers the only thing "wrong" is that we already have York, Drysdale and Andrae.

We have to remember we are a small minority with the criticism.

People still go to games, slurp up the Flyer selling points.

The fanbase, and their undying support is as much of a problem as anything. Comcast sees no reason to change the formula. It works.

- flyer_nutter

THIS GUY GETS IT!!!! the 90%ers are the problem with this team. Philly fans are bandwagon as a whole. Sorry if that bothers some people but Philly isn’t a “hockey” town. They are eagles Phillies 6ers town. Flyers are afterthought. They come out in droves to see…. Gritty. Easily manipulated and slurping up all the narrative of the moment. Yes other fanbases have this too but god flyers after seeing this organization philosophy since cap installed would make any real hockey town fans be out with pitchforks. Instead slurp slurp

Did the agent advise him to do that? At the end of the day the agent works for the player. The player made a decision.

1. Danny f'd up.
2. CG took it personally.
3. The Flyers took it personally.
4. The Flyers launched a smear campaign that ended with the kid getting death threats.

While they were both childish the adults in the room should've acted like adults.

Buium is a weird case for me. If he is such a lock elite talent why did he make it to 12? I have not watched a second of him playing so I cannot offer an educated scouting report.

Why were teams hesitant to take him? I get that drafting is not an exact science.

- mickel25

Nobody was hesitate to take him. This is such a weird concept for me to understand that gets put out there. Every single player picked 1-11 before biuum was ALSO rated there. There was not 1 single reach player picked 1-11 so no biuum didn’t “drop” in fact teams traded up to get some players. Philly simply dropped the ball. As usual.

That's the fig leaf the Flyers used so it get's all the press but then they draft a 5'11" forward in his spot.

They did want to get bigger like Vegas though.

The Flyers' average roster size, which does not include 5-8 winger Cam Atkinson, who just got bought out, is 6-2. Out of the seven picks they made, five are over 6-foot. “It just kind of happened to be that way,” Brière said about adding size.

They passed on Buium who is a potential elite talent. IMO they blew that with him falling into their lap.

I don't really trust them based on their track record.

Signs abound that Flyers rebuild might not have to last much
longer
...
In fact, part of the reason Briere may have been hesitant to make
any big moves now is because Michkov has arrived. Briere reminded everyone of how important he views the renewed culture in Wednesday’s presser, and that’s now especially true with a young, non-English-speaking Michkov in the room. And make no mistake, there was some truth behind Briere’s joking that Nic Deslauriers is Michkov’s “new best friend.”Yes, Deslauriers will be in the lineup more than not next season, particularly early on as Michkov gets his feet wet. Sorry, analytics staff, your input here won’t be necessary
...
But it’s important to keep in mind that the path back to contention for any rebuilding team is never linear. Just look two hours north to Manhattan at the New York Rangers, who sent their infamous letter to season ticket holders announcing a rebuild in Feb. 2018 and a little more than a year later saw Artemi Panarin fall into their laps. Who’s to say something similar won’t happen with the Flyers should, say, Leon Draisaitl become available next summer? If Farabee and Laughton are moved for futures before the 2025 deadline, for example, that would all of a sudden give the Flyers an extra $8 million in cap space to play with for next summer. Briere will have to find an established, elite-level player, preferably a center, either through a trade or free agency. It might not happen before the end of this upcoming season.

----------------

Just shows that nobody believes that Briere was "just joking" on ND and the stage is being set for "go time". It also echo's that the Flyers will try to get their elite talent through FA instead of the draft so it will be interesting to see what happens with those draft picks.

- Flyers_01

It's really tiresome hearing the 'Rangers rebuild' argument. This is always the gist of Myrtetus' (Dwayne from Swedesboro) argument as well, 'just look to the Rangers!!!!' Panarin and Fox only wanted to play for the Rangers. Not to mention they had a future perennial Vezina candidate rising in their ranks already.

Who are the Flyers versions of Panarin, Fox and Shesterkin? Is there a Zibanejad already on the roster primed for a 40 goal breakout? Or a Kreider who's gonna go 52, 36 and 39 in 3 consecutive years?

I don’t know what you’re talking about? lol.

You need a better provider is all. All streaming will have an occasional buffering issue from time to time. As long as you have a few things you really won’t have a problem
1) good internet. WiFi or Ethernet (more stable)

2) good provider ( definitely need to try different ones until find good one. Sometimes even they go to crap and need to find another)

3) smart to have 2 subscription at once in case one having issues.

The biggest issue usually is because most people have good internet that providers have weak servers or too many people on network and servers slow or crash or throttle. Key if to find provider that invest in good servers.

I have great service up time always. Occasionally at peak viewing times a few really popular channels occasional buffer a bit. Easily dealt with by changing channel up then down quick. Or clicking to live tv if buffer. Usually it only buffers for 1-2 seconds then catches up. Annoying yes sometimes especially if watching sports but mine only really maybe does this for 5-10 minutes where it’s gotta play the remote games then usually all good.

In the end the more you learn how to deal with it and get more experience the cost and options like you said are endless.

Watched Russian hockey all the minor hockey league games if wanted etc etc etc.

I don’t even record or use catch up features

Also once you find good provider can do year subscription for usually $50-$75 for the year.

They wanted a center. Plain and simple. If they traded up it was for a center. Small minded Philly as status quo.
