Did the agent advise him to do that? At the end of the day the agent works for the player. The player made a decision.

Buium is a weird case for me. If he is such a lock elite talent why did he make it to 12? I have not watched a second of him playing so I cannot offer an educated scouting report.

Why were teams hesitant to take him? I get that drafting is not an exact science.

Everybody's always looking for some smoking gun when a prospect slides but all it ever takes is for each team to like another prospect just a little bit more. Compound that with a draft that was pretty wide open after the top pick.

There's really nothing wrong w/ Buium.

People (and the Flyers) are saying size but he's not even all that small. People are saying he's not a great defender but neither are Yakemchuk, Parekh or Richardinson. Again he could have been #2 BPA for a lot of the teams in the 5-11 range for all we know.

It's really tiresome hearing the 'Rangers rebuild' argument. This is always the gist of Myrtetus' (Dwayne from Swedesboro) argument as well, 'just look to the Rangers!!!!' Panarin and Fox only wanted to play for the Rangers. Not to mention they had a future perennial Vezina candidate rising in their ranks already.

Who are the Flyers versions of Panarin, Fox and Shesterkin? Is there a Zibanejad already on the roster primed for a 40 goal breakout? Or a Kreider who's gonna go 52, 36 and 39 in 3 consecutive years?

This years draft at the top was d heavy…. (Next year is d weak)

There was a consensus 5-6 dmen that could go top 10. With a few that play style of makar Hughes. High uptempo offensive game.


2 teams even traded up into 12. Both those teams that traded up took…… dmen.

1 stupid ass team traded out of top 12 with one of the dmen sitting there that plays game with tempo compared to makar/hughes. Philly.


For a player most ranked 20 or later in draft who is a center in a d heavy draft


Because as Philly states we already have small dmen and want to get bigger as a team then draft a player smaller than the player with the maybe elite skill in the position of strength of draft. Who’s bigger and quite possible better than the players Philly gave excuse for.


Only incompetent people do these type things. It would be like you or I walking into an operating room and giving instruction how to perform surgery.
These fools have no idea how to build or construct any semblance of a competent roster.
