The Devils have hired Chuck Fletcher as a senior advisor to general manager Fitzgerald! I don't know about you, but I would rather have Homer as an advisor than Fletcher! Wishing the Devils the luck they deserve with this one, here is hoping Fitsgerald listens to everything Chuck says! - jd250
At one point in time, you praised Fletcher. Claimed he put the Flyers on the path to the cup. Good times!

Probably more like ignoring millions of deaths and a global pandemic and insisting Covid is nothing more than a mild flu. |

Or maybe I don't feel the need to poop on the team and management like you do all the time.
DB has had 2 drafts and 1.5 seasons as GM. I am willing to wait a bit to see what happens.
I am not the expert like you, it's a mystery nhl teams are not begging you to be their GM.
Every day you poop on people's ideas. Must me nice to be the only one sitting in the high tower. |

You're deflecting away from the actual topic. You lack simple common sense.

We have now reached a post-marketing age. Lets say you get lots of data proving any one of those examples. The other party can just say "fake news, It's all made up."
Just like emojis are taking us back to the age of hieroglyphs and cave etchings for communication, we are also going back to a time before the age of reason.
Reality is what is convenient for you to believe. Stuff that is immediate. Apparent. Further analytics is not needed - PT21

It is more like the common flu. Never vaccinated have had covid 3 times no issues. How many of the millions that died from covid died by some other means (murder, heart attack, stroke) and just happened to have covid as well?

Let's be honest JD, you've never been right about a dam thing. You praised him and supported him forever. Just like you do everything with the Flyers. Until it's so ridiculously and blatantly obvious that you we're wrong. That is what is predictable. |

Why is there so much concern about Homer being there. He is one of the top living legends for Philly. Held just about every roll you could have, played hard, always showed flyers first himself last, great leader. A few missteps as GM and he’s no longer great? |

He represents the Flyers past and is one of the main influencers of how the Flyers operate and go about building their team. Old antiquated methods that are no longer effective in the modern day cap NHL.

I don’t think of him as a legend - not even close
He is not near the stratosphere of Clarke and Parent. |

Let's be honest MJL, you come on this forum day after day and offer absolutely nothing to the conversation. I'm not right all the time, no one is, but I would rather be wrong sometimes instead of a coward that never has a positive take on anything Flyers. Fletcher came on and the Flyers in 2019 were one of the best teams in the league and looked to be building something, thus I was supportive. Once things went bad in 2022 I stopped supporting Fletcher since his decisions to extend Risto, not replace AV with a real NHL coach and trade for DeAngelo were not moves I could get behind. But early on it was not all bad. Who knew Niskanen would retire and Ellis would only play 5 games. Oh that's right, you knew. |

How much influence does he have? You implied earlier that we don't have to have concrete info/evidence like a video clip, transcript, etc. So how do you, a poster on HB know he is one of the "main influencers." What has he specifically done to prove your claims?

JD, I've been posting here since 2007. You since 2018. You have no clue about my posting history. You also don't have any common sense. How does someone having an accurate opinion towards the Flyers, even if it is negative, make someone a coward? You're not right all the time? When are you ever right? LOL. Rarely! About anything. I've never seen someone so immersed in the game, know so little about it.
I told you within a few weeks of Fletcher making his three big moves, that the moves were more likely to hurt the team, then help them. While you claimed he put the team on the path to the cup. Just one of your thousands of ridiculous opinions offered. Yes, I did know they weren't good moves. |
