Buff36 and washed up want Rempe / reeves / lucic type players.

If you don’t agree with them. They call you stupid.

More like rotten egg salad you get at gas stations than good eggs

- Sabretooth9

You must hate Tuch because thus far his career goals and assists almost mirror Lucic.

Lucic/Tuch stats starting at their 2nd full NHL season:

GP.....………..Goals………....Pts
72/74………..17/20…………42/52
50/42…….…..9/8…………..20/17
79/55………..30/15………..62/33
81/50………..26/12….…….61/38
46/74…….…..7/36………….27/79
80/75…………24/22………..59/59

I assume when a comment like "Lucic type player" is used, its incorrectly based on an end of career eye test rather than the actual player he was during his prime.

For reference this is what Lucic was:
Season GP G A Pts
2008-09 72 17 25 42
2009-10 50 9 11 20
2010-11 79 30 32 62
2011-12 81 26 35 61
2012-13 46 7 20 27
2013-14 80 24 35 59
2014-15 81 18 26 44

Horrible from start to end

I was never a fan of E. Kane, and was not thrilled when GMTM traded for him. Conversely, I was a fan of O'Reily and was happy about that trade. In the end neither really worked out and wasn't sad when both were traded away (what we got back was probably what they were actually worth, not what we paid to get them).

Could be, but until we get another year or 2 we won't know that. Think Kozak will be a nice 4C for us in a few years.
- Buff36

Possibly Kozak could be a 4th liner, but do so he needs to be able to pot 20 points, be good on the dot and on the PK with very good possession metrics. He has time, but I'd like to see his production numbers improved significantly in the AHL.

Me to, and I think he can. Got decent hands and a sneaky shot. Needs to learn to use it more.

I didn't really like either trade, we weren't ready yet and he just Slaughtered the bottom 6 and D

I understood the ROR trade, as Murray was clear about it from day 1, to protect a young Eichel from having to perform 1C duties out of the gatè...then ROR could transition to 2C and provide excellent 1 - 2 punch up the middle.

Kane and Bogo, I got the fit, but Kane is a volume shooter, often wide with his shot that just busted possession in the O zone resultingʻ in odd man rushes the other way. It was a bad trade no doubt.

I hate tuch? I said he played like garbage last year compared to his previous season.

Which isn’t wrong. Lucic always is a current bowling ball that hits women and can’t skate.

My motto is you need to either have speed and skill.

Which is what the Sabres have

I provided goals and points for both Lucic and Tuch for their 2nd season thru the 7th season (more than just last year, which was his 7th season) and their numbers look pretty similar.

Congrats as you are the one that brought his name up: "Rempe / Reeves / Lucic type players". Maybe he's in your head?

Last night, I had a dream. It was so clear and lucid. Was it clairvoyance? Was it just a fever dream from all the Benadryl? We'll never know.

There was 4 minutes left in double OT, in the Stanley Cup final. The Sabres were playing the Colorado Avalanche. Rantanen had tied it up late in Game 7 to go to sudden death. Fears of the Dallas Stars were rolling around in my mind. This can't happen again.

Colorado got a power play, but we killed it. Connor Clifton sold out on a two blocks that both sent the puck out to center. MacKinnon got one chance but blasted it just wide of an open side. The puck curled around the boards and we went back the other way as Alex Tuch came out of the box.

Then he struck.

Rasmus Dahlin got the puck in the o-zone, deaked Casey out of his jock strap to get to the middle of the ice and sent a quick forehand pass from the top of the circle to Tuch at the back door. Georgiev overplayed Tuch, who one tapped his pass straight to Dylan Cozens, who hammered it just inside the post for the win.

All hell broke loose.

Devon Levi, the Conn Smythe winner, throws his gloves in the air. The home crowd is just buzzing. Families are giving group hugs. Old men are crying. The sinners are asking the lord for forgiveness. The wait is over. The time has come. The Buffalo Sabres are the SC Champions.

Then I woke up.
