I really don't see the Habs trading for Ass Karov with Montambeault, Primeau and...Fowler coming up.

Spend the assets on a top 6 forward with size

I'm sure Montreal is looking at Laine.

The Jackets probably are hoping to get alot more than other teams are currently offering.

No one wants to shovel Yack poop but I still do it.

It's a little similar to interacting with Waterboy responding to your blog I imagine

that seems to be the case but his contract is a potential anchor for 2yrs with his injury history, time spent in the players assistance program and continued drop in production

Cap hit: 8.7M per year
Actual salary: 9.1M per year

For two years, I still like the idea.

The cost just needs to be reasonable. We're not giving up something of significant value for a reclamation project, despite how good he could be.

I think it comes down to the level of the BJ's desperation to move Laine before the season starts or not.

Seems obvious the Jackets are currently not happy with any offers made, based on recent team statements from Waddell. Maybe they are willing to roll the dice a little and put Laine up in some pre-season games to show (if) he can still play to the same level.

Meh, 2 years. And he is only 26.

If he is just average, so what. Kick him to the curb in 2 years.

If it was a longer deal, I'd be concerned.

Goalies never seem to fetch that much in most cases, and I suspect the PRICE will come down the longer this drags on.

Habs have lots of picks, too many really, over the next few drafts and secondary prospects to make it happen, if they want.

- Mashadar

His value is likely as close to Corey Schneider as we've seen in terms of actual widely considered top prospect goalies ready for primetime being available.

It doesn't make any sense, they are domestic animals. Guessing your zoologists dropped the ball on behaviour.

Before this year's games in Paris started, it had already been determined Breakdancing would not be part of the 2028 Olympics. Host cities propose new events, and so Los Angeles has picked cricket, lacrosse, baseball/softball, squash, and flag football.
