Tell me again how you think I’m white. I mean you call me Lamont more than I’ve mentioned I’m black.

I think I'm going to go on a hiatus on here until either Danny does something, or Camp begins.

No school selections yet for either, but with 4.0 GPAs I am assuming the high end for about 300K for 4 years for each child (if they decide for a big name, not necessarily the best nowadays).

Who knows what the youngest will do...probably live at home until she's 50.

My high school kid takes all Honors courses . He’s entrepreneurial and already investing. He told me he can go to community college and get what he needs before transferring to a 4 year. That will save me a bundle.

The kids are, but I don't assume that's a given. Then there's the chance of scholarships, but again I don't assume...I plan.

Very smart move to do.

Degrees are just certifications of accomplishment...what the person gets out of it is all that matters.

I did as well. I worked 4 summers for a union construction company. It was 60-70 hours a week.

If you can’t afford kids maybe you shouldn’t have had them.

If I had to guess I would say both of you are in your 40's or older...

I rarely see people put effort out to do what is smart and end up doing the easy way.

I finished my associates while working for a company that let me get my bachelor's on them....

Why would I want to pay for that?

Ha ha, that has to be the moronic comment of all time! The serious problem is that the orange delusional turd prolly actually believes that he would accomplish that.

My dad paid double tuition for my sister to attend an out of state university. He pretty much said you’re on your own. That 60-70 hours a week was brutal physically. I worked with a lot of 40-50 year old men with broken down bodies. I knew I had to start using my head or I’d be them.

Plenty of good trade-offs with sweating in October:

Lower cost of living

No snow/ice/sleet (hurricanes can be an issue though 3 hit in the 21 years I have lived here 2020 was the last one)

Outdoor activities are available to do year-round (tennis, hiking, etc)

The Beach is accessible - 15/20 minute drive

No state income tax low sales tax - 7.5% food is not taxed

I take it your in Florida? To each his own and I have no issue with that obviously. The know it all bothers me cause he acts like the only thing to do outside is swim...lol! There are prolly tradeoffs anywhere ya go. I just happen to hate the hot and humid weather, and I don't really mind winter for the most part (guess I like the 4 seasons). It's probably gorgeous down there December through March while we deal with crappy cold rain up here (I actually prefer snow). The canes could get old. One of my past g/f's went to the University of Florida and she stayed there for 6 years after she graduated. They got hit indirectly by 6 canes in one year, and she chose to come back north and enjoy the change of seasons.

Who opened up the container of idiots?

You are so incredibly stupid. When I said it must be nice. It refers to being able to go swimming daily in warm weather through October. Somehow from that, you got the idea that I don't go outside or aren't aware of other outdoor activities.

This is what cracks me up the most. The two guys on here that like to laugh at Flyers fans for being so gullible are the very ones that hang on every word of a delusional old man! He has you schnookered! He has as much chance of ending that conflict in a day as I do. WTF!

He is the only modern day President who didn't have a war started on his watch. One day is hyperbole but he will end it if he is elected. He will also deal with Iran, China and NKorea. Peace through strength. Rather that the chaos and the world on the brink of WW3 with the passiveness and weakness of the current feckless administration.

Well I worked full time as well. When I was getting my BSE not only was I working mass hours, but I was traveling across the country at the same time. I think getting schedules for exams and submitting work was more difficult than getting the actual degree.

The middle child who wants to major in computer science feels she needs 100% focus on school so she can't work. I just have to shake my head and laugh...not work while going to school how much easier do you want it?
